Police shut down reality star’s birthday party after hundreds of teenage gatecrashers jump the fence and swarm his house

The Voice star Sebastian Coe has been left shaken after his sweet 16th birthday party was shut down by police over the weekend.

Sebastian, who competed on season 9 of The Voice, had invited 100 friends to his home in Mount Pleasant, Perth, on Sunday night, but the gathering quickly got out of hand when hundreds of teenage gatecrashers arrived.

Police swiftly shut down the party within two hours, and corralled the rowdy crowd on the street outside.

Officers and police busses then moved the gatecrashers on foot for two kilometres.

Sebastian, who boasts a strong following on Instagram, says social media is to blame for the volume of unauthorised guests, as information about his party was probably shared around online.

‘Our house was full. Very, very full’, Sebastian said with a laugh as he spoke to Nine News at the scene.

‘And I was like, ‘I don’t know you. Why are you at my party?” he added.

Sebastian’s father Sasha added: ‘[The gatecrashers] were literally jumping from the next street, so they were jumping two sets of fences.’

Sacha told Nine that he went to great lengths to ensure Sebastian’s party didn’t break any rules, including registering the event with police.
