Bromance! Ben Affleck hugs George Clooney goodbye as he wraps final scene for their drama The Tender Bar
Ben Affleck received a warm sendoff from his pal George Clooney after wrapping filming on their upcoming coming-of-age drama, The Tender Bar, on Tuesday.
Before shooting his final scene in the film, directed by the 59-year-old The Midnight Sky actor, the friendly pair could be seen chatting away as they walked toward a light blue classic convertible in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
The Oscar-winning star of Good Will Hunting and Argo, 48, was dressed in character as he rocked a pair of vintage sunglasses, jeans and a grey polo on set.

Meanwhile, Clooney, was dressed in a black polo, light-wash jeans and a protective white face mask as he oversaw the shooting of scenes on Affleck’s last day.
Following a fun scene, which involved loading actor Max Casella’s car with cases of beer, members of the cast and crew hugged Affleck and said their goodbyes.
At one point, while Clooney and Affleck embraced, the father-of-two told a joke that made the Gone Girl star blush.

The Tender Bar is based on the 2005 memoir of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer JR Moehringer.
The story follows the author during his early years in New York City, as he searches for his father while growing closer to his uncle and a group of locals at a nearby bar.
Other performers who are involved with the project include Tye Sheridan, Lily Rabe and Christopher Lloyd.
Development on The Tender Bar began in 2013 with Hidden Figures director Theodore Melfi set to helm the film, although he later exited the project.

After several years of difficulties, Amazon Studios acquired the rights to the project in July of 2020, with Clooney being confirmed to spearhead the feature in December of that year.
Affleck’s casting was confirmed the following February, with much of the rest of the cast being added last month.
Clooney and The Tender Bar’s leading man previously collaborated on the 2012 film Argo, on which the Leatherheads director served as a producer.
Principal photography on the upcoming project began earlier this year at various locations in and around Boston.
The forthcoming film currently does not have a set release date.
