Terror on the back nine! Andy Lee encounters a highly venomous snake while playing a round of golf with friends in Tasmania

He’s known for humour and wit on Network Ten’s The Cube.

But life for Andy Lee took a serious turn on Thursday, when the comedian encountered a highly venomous snake while playing golf with friends.

Armed with a mobile phone, the 39-year-old captured the moment he approached a ‘huge’ tiger snake in a bunker at the Barnbougle Lost Farms Golf Course in Tasmania.

‘Horgs, you’ve got a bit of a tough bunker shot coming up,’ Andy told his friend, Michael Horgan, as he approached his next round in the sand.

‘Obviously the light’s not great, but this tiger snake over here is all the worry… It’s huge!’

The snake could then be seen slithering out onto the sand, before Andy exclaimed: ‘Don’t come at me, mate. Don’t come at me!’

‘People say bunker shots are daunting… have they tried playing them in Australia,’ the funnyman captioned the video to his Instagram of the moment.

Andy joked that the snake bit his friend while he was playing his shot.

‘It bit him while he played his shot but he got up and down for par so it was worth it,’ he wrote in the comment section under the post.
