Megan McKenna opts for a laid back look in a green bomber jacket and black shorts

She has been focusing on her burgeoning singing career since winning The X Factor: Celebrity.

And Megan McKenna opted for a laid back look as she stepped out to walk her dog Daisy in Essex on Wednesday. 

The reality star, 28, donned a dark green bomber jacket with black striped sleeves which she paired with a black top and matching shorts.

The singer styled her blonde locks into a ponytail and also sported a pair of shades as she chatted on the phone.

Looking in good spirits on the outing, Megan also wore a pair of black trainers with grey ankle socks. 

Appearing to go makeup free for the outing, Megan completed her look with lime green nail polish. 

It comes after Megan is reportedly set to put her chef skills to the test as she joins rumoured stars Katie Price, Joe Swash and Dion Dublin on this year’s Celebrity MasterChef line up.

The TV personality who has been diagnosed with coeliac disease, will rustle up gluten and wheat free dishes in the BBC’s culinary competition.

An insider told The Sun: ‘She has spoken a lot before about living with coeliac disease and wants to try and use her time on the show to inspire others who have to cook with a more limited range of ingredients.

‘While she isn’t the world’s best chef, Megan is a good cook and is confident in her recipes and ideas. 

‘She is looking forward to showing the judges and the other competitors what she can do,’ they revealed.

The show, hosted and judged by John Torode and Greg Wallace, has previously featured other TOWIE stars including Pete Wicks and Gemma Collins.

Megan will allegedly be joined by Katie Price, who is returning to primetime TV after the success of her BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey & Me. 

Coronation Street’s Melissa Johns will also reportedly brave this year’s MasterChef kitchen.
