Is it cooked? Lego Masters BEATS MasterChef Australia in the ratings as the Channel Nine program is renewed for two more seasons
It’s seems Channel Nine’s strategy of launching the new season of Lego Masters following part two of the Married At First Sight finale has payed off.
The competitive building show, hosted by Hamish Blake, bested its main rival – Channel 10’s MasterChef Australia – in the ratings, on Wednesday.
Lego Masters won over a 766,000-strong audience across the five-city metro in the 7:30pm time slot, TV Tonight reported.

MasterChef Australia, fronted by judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy Allen, trailed behind in third spot on the evening.
A mere 549,000 tuned in to watch the new batch of aspiring chefs live out their culinary dreams – a far cry from the average one million that watched the Back To Win season.
The cooking show was even outdone by ABC’s comedy quiz show Hard Quiz with 653,000 watching the Tom Gleeson hosted series.

Channel Seven failed to record any impressive number with a double repeat of Highway Patrol – the 7:30pm episode reaching 378,000, followed by the 8pm episode with 361,000.
However, it is possible the network could turn things around with the grand finale of Dancing With The Stars: All Stars on Sunday.
Channel Nine’s triumph on Wednesday night comes as Nine announced on Thursday that they have recommissioned Lego Masters for another two seasons until 2023.

According to a statement from the network, the show’s renewal comes after Lego Masters ‘ranked No. 1 program with all key demographics each night this week.’
