Nick Carter gives health update as wife Lauren remains in hospital after birth of their third child

Nick Carter shared an update about his newborn child to his Twitter account on Thursday.

The Backstreet Boys member’s wife Lauren gave birth to the couple’s newest addition to their family yesterday night, and he had previously noted that there were ‘complications’ regarding the baby’s arrival.

However, he returned to his Twitter feed to let his followers know that he and his spouse would be remaining at a medical center in order to make sure that everything is fine with their child.

Letting everyone know: Nick Carter took to his Twitter account on Thursday night to give an update about the arrival of his third child; he is pictured with his wife, Lauren, in 2020

‘Ok. So everything is looking better but we’re not out of the woods yet. We have to stay in the hospital one more night. But Daddy and Mommy are watching baby like a Hawk. Thank you again for all your love and support. We see you,’ he wrote.

In a previous post, Carter noted that, although the couple’s child had been delivered, there were aspects of the birth that concerned the medical attendants.

The 41-year-old singer added in a tweet,’as a parent knows all to very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it.’

He did note, however, that ‘things are looking a little better after the first night.’

Carter finished his second message regarding his child’s birth by writing that he wanted to ‘thank everyone for all the prayers and good thoughts during this time.’

The singer and his wife first met at a party hosted at his house in 2008, and began a relationship shortly afterward.

Prior to dating the 37-year-old YouTube personality, the hitmaker was connected to former Dancing With The Stars contestant Willa Ford, as well as Paris Hilton.

Carter and his now-wife eventually became engaged in 2013 and tied the knot the following year.

They went on to welcome a son named Odin, aged five, and a daughter named Saoirse, aged one, although they have not announced the name of their newest child.

During a recent interview with People, Carter spoke about how he and his wife have been prioritizing their role as caregivers amid the global pandemic.

‘With everything that 2020 has given to the entire world, I look at it as a blessing…We love our two children and we pride ourselves on being great parents,’ he said.

Lauren went on to note that she did not know that she was going to be welcoming a third child until her pregnancy was well underway.

‘We were going to have two children and it was a surprise. I didn’t find out I was pregnant till I was about five-and-a-half months pregnant,’ she recalled.

Carter added, ‘I have always wanted to love somebody, someone unconditionally and give everything to those people, my wife, my kids, and be selfless…now that I have it, yes, I am living my dream and I am very grateful for that and very blessed.’
