Georgia Harrison swaps her blonde locks for a curly brunette style in hair transformation video

She recently incurred the wrath of ex-TOWIE star Maria Fowler, who slammed her for saying she lost 5kg in a week.

But Georgia Harrison brushed aside the drama on Saturday as she posted a transformation video showing off her new brunette locks.

The former Love Island star, 26, looked amazing as she swaps her usual blonde tresses for a curly darker style in the TikTok video shared to her Instagram.

In the video, a blonde Georgia can be seen sitting in a salon chair as she debates with her hairdresser pal whether to make the change.

The reality star was actually miming a popular TikTok video ‘Girl Don’t Do It’, using the words to create her own narrative for her clip.

As her stylist mimes ‘it’s not worth it’, Georgia insists that she wasn’t going to make the change, as she mimed ‘I’m just thinking about it, I’m not gonna do it’.

Suddenly, the video then cut to the stunner spinning around in the chair as she rocked a brand new brunette hair do, with Georgia captioning the clip: ‘We did it!’

Georgia, who is currently in Los Angeles, had revealed her new hair colour days previously, but this time was sure to wow fans even more with her latest transformation video.

It comes just days after she was branded ‘irresponsible’ by Maria Fowler, 34, for detailing her quick weight loss, saying that ‘eating disorders are rife and social media only adds to that pressure’.

Maria left her comment underneath a now-deleted Instagram video Georgia uploaded on Friday where she was showing off her slim figure in underwear as she told fans how she had dropped the pounds with the help of electrolyte water.

Commenting on the post Maria wrote: ‘Sorry, you seem like a lovely girl but this is so irresponsible for your young following.

After deleting the post Georgia clarified that she had meant to write ‘5lbs’ instead of ‘5kg’ in the caption.

In Georgia’s post she proudly wrote: ‘I lost 5 Kilo’s in one week! I’ve always been someone who doesn’t mind fluctuating in weight and that’s because i know for a fact i have the mindset to burn it off quickly and efficiently.

‘Using @wowhydrate drinks as a great way of assisting my training i lost 5k in a week and i still snuck in a cheeky pasta here and there!’

She added that she wanted to be in ‘good shape’ for an upcoming trip to LA and said she hoped her video would inspire her fans to believe in themselves and their bodies to ‘shed the pounds’.

Georgia went on to explain how filming herself each day encouraged her to carry on with her diet as she could see the progress she was making.

She said: ‘It’s easy to avoid documenting progress for the fear it might be too honest with you and ruin your day if it doesn’t depict the result you wanted but at the end of the day if you want to reach your goal you have to be able to physically see your progress and this for me this was a great way of doing so.

‘My @wowhydrate drinks were absolutely needed alongside a calorie deficit. Also just to make it clear i don’t think i’m fat i’m anyway at the start both are normal healthy weights but for LA i wanted to be really toned and healthy.’

Maria then commented again in reply to a fan saying: ‘I wouldn’t blame her, I just don’t think she knows how damaging it is. We all make mistakes and learn from them. I wouldn’t have thought that it was damaging when I was younger either x’.

Georgia’s representatives had been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

As well as Maria, many fans were quick to disagree with the post, with some even saying they had unfollowed her as a result.

Another said: ‘Let’s be honest you are an insane influencer but please don’t promote 5kg weight loss via a drink. These girls who look up to you don’t need to see this. Your in insane shape anyway’.

A third said: ‘The kind of person I’d hate my daughter to look up to! Absolutely nothing healthy about loosing 5kgs in a week. Shameful.’

After Georgia deleted the post she took to her Instagram Story to explain.

She wrote: ‘Took down my last post because people are just such keyboard warriors that it gave me anxiety but 1 I wasn’t paid to promote anything in that post I was just proud of my personal results and 2 I don’t think weight loss should be seen as a negative if done in a healthy way with exercise and healthy food. Should people not be allowed to loose weight?’

She then put up another post saying she had meant to put ‘5lbs’ instead of ‘5kgs’, writing: ‘Omg reading my dms and also realised I put 5kg but I meant LB. But still I’m sure people will still have a problem with that, was in flight so didn’t read it before.’
