Hardcore pub-goers are not letting snow stand in the way of a pint, with many shoppers rushing to snap up a cosy duvet coat to enjoy a drink outdoors this spring.

Having spent much of the winter under the duvet at home dreaming of that first beer, glass of wine or cocktail, it might come as no surprise that the ‘duvet coat’ is the ultimate answer to both comfort and style.   

As the nation piles on the layers, eBay UK has revealed that ‘duvet coat’ is trending with 432 per cent more searches compared to the same time last year.

Meanwhile searches for ‘oversized coat’ are also up by over 108 per cent, while searches for ‘puffer coat’ are also up by 115 per cent.

Zara is the most sought after brand on eBay UK for women looking for their perfect pub duvet coat but when it comes to pre-loved, thrifty shoppers turn to eBay to snap up Barbour coats for a fraction of the price. 

For men, North Face is the most popular brand to keep you toasty, or if you want to wow your social bubble with a vintage thread, Stone Island comes out on top.

Meanwhile the online retailer also revealed searches have gone up 309 per cent for ‘hand warmers’.
