A super-fit PE teacher and fitness expert has revealed the exact work lunchbox she packs in order to stay in shape.

Belinda Norton, 44, from the Gold Coast, likes to bring a main meal and an assortment of snacks to get through her working day at school.

The teacher packs her work lunchbox full of raw fresh fruit, vegetables, protein and complex carbohydrates.

‘My work lunchbox – snack loaded – with raw fresh fruit and vegetables,’ Belinda posted on Instagram.

‘This is three meals for my day and the focus is raw, real, whole, vitamin-loaded and portion correct.’

The 44-year-old said she aims for low sugar, dairy-free food that is full of ‘high quality nourishment’.

‘I don’t count calories, but I do count vitamin intake as it’s easier to see. It is balanced and better body education,’ Belinda said. 

The teacher said she often eats this in front of her class and students, and likes to be seen as a ‘healthy role model’.

This particular week, Belinda said she has packed orange, a carrot and cucumber, snow peas, overnight oats and a tomato salad with quinoa and hummus.

The mum varies her working lunchbox by packing boiled eggs, almonds, green juice, as well as a tuna salad. 

Belinda said that a daily food routine has many health-enhancing capabilities.

‘It increases your immunity and makes you feel well,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

The mum also said by homemaking meals, you know exactly what you’re putting into your body, and you will be increasingly likely to make good choices.

‘Food is fuel for your body and the machine you run in daily,’ Belinda added.

‘I like to have fresh berries for antioxidants and also plenty of raw crunch and raw nut butters,’ she said.

‘Just remember to think about your your portion size. Your fist is the ideal measuring cup, while for kids a portion is their fist size.’
