‘It’s truly overwhelming’: Kate Lawler and fiancé Martin share the moment they welcome their daughter Noa via cesarean in MTV’s Celebrity Bumps
The moment Kate Lawler and her fiancé Martin become parents for the first time will be shown on the final episode of MTV’s Celebrity Bumps, set to air on Wednesday.
The Big Brother star, 40, and fiancé Martin filmed the emotional moment they welcomed their daughter Noa, two months, via cesarean.
In a teaser clip from the upcoming episode, the couple document the process, with Kate filming scenes in hospital as she goes into labour.

She tells the camera while in a hospital gown: ‘My contractions started at 11.50am. It’s now 1pm. We’re on the labour ward waiting to go in.’
The couple provide the narrative of the labour in a post-interview and Kate says: ‘We’re feeling really calm, we’re ready, we’re thinking we’re going to have our baby in the next couple of hours and then the anesthetist comes in and says: “we’ll take you down in the next 15 minutes”.
‘At that point I suddenly get really excited as within an hour we’re going to meet our little girl.’

Focused: As the operation got under way Kate said she focused on her breathing and kept telling herself that ‘my birth will be beautiful’
As Kate is wheeled to the operating theatre, Martin says: ‘We’ve been waiting nine months for this and it’s kind of overwhelming and an incredible feeling that its finally here.
‘It was quite surreal watching Kate being wheeled in, you kind of go through these doors and it is very much an operating theatre. They really make the effort to make you as comfortable as possible.’
As the operation got under way Kate said she focused on her breathing and kept telling herself that ‘my birth will be beautiful’, while Martin said he feels a ‘bit useless’ because all he can do is stroke his fiancée’s head’.

He went on: ‘You feel really divided from the operation that’s happening. You really can’t see anything so if feels like it’s just me and you in the room, doesn’t it? At that point.
‘We’ve just got our heads together, we’re talking. I’m telling Kate positive things and how excited we’re going to be.’
Kate described it as the ‘most the most serene and beautiful experience. Everything is just the way we want it to be’.

Martin added: ‘It’s truly, truly overwhelming and just incredible to see your daughter and something in your heart just feels like it’s exploding.
‘I’ll never ever forget the day. For all that Kate said that she’s not sure she wants kids and she’s not sure if she’d have that maternal instinct, you see that all dissolve away that first moment that they’re together. She just looks at her and you just know that Noa’s now her everything.’
