The former Loose Women star captioned the image: ‘Mummy you look beautiful in this picture three years ago ❤️❤️ I love you to the moon and back as we say ❤️❤️.’

Katie’s post came one week after her son Harvey reunited with his terminally ill grandma Amy for the first time in six months in an emotional clip.

The 18-year-old stood outside his gran’s house in the footage uploaded to newly-engaged Katie’s YouTube channel and was visibly upset that he couldn’t hug her.

Harvey is on the autism spectrum and was born with disabilities including partial blindness, ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome.

Last week, he received his second dose of the coronavirus vaccine with ‘no ill effects’ and had been shielding too. Amy has also had both vaccines but still has a weak immune system.

In the clip the pair weren’t allowed in Amy’s house so chatted to her while sat in the garden, with Harvey also bringing her a painting he had made.

When they arrived Harvey pointed inside the house and said ‘shall we sit here’ to which Katie had to reply: ‘But we can’t go in because of COVID’.

Harvey then got visibly emotional and began to cry as Katie tried to calm him down and Amy exclaimed ‘Oh Harvey!’

Harvey then said: ‘I hate this’, which Amy agreed with, adding: ‘I can’t do nothing about it!’

Earlier this month, Katie admitted that her terminally ill mum ‘hasn’t got long to live’ amid her lengthy battle with the incurable lung condition.

The former glamour model said she was ‘heartbroken’ to see her mum’s condition deteriorate after she was seen needing oxygen to help her breathe during a Facetime call.

But despite her declining health, Amy has vowed she ‘hasn’t given up yet’ in her battle with the lung condition, which causes the build-up of scar tissue in the lungs.

In her latest film for the Channel 4 series Steph’s Packed Lunch, Katie investigated how those suffering from incurable diseases can still embrace life to the fullest.

The star was herself unable to visit Amy for many months as she’d been shielding during the Covid pandemic.

Katie said: ‘My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend and to be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart. Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live.’

The film then showed the star on a video call with her mum Amy, who needed help from an oxygen supply as her health continues to deteriorate.

She tells her daughter: ‘I haven’t given up yet. I’ve got to accept the fact that I know I’m going to deteriorate,’ before starting to cough.

Katie urged her mum: ‘Turn your oxygen up’ but her mum insists: ‘I’ll be all right in a minute.’

What is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis?

  • Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a condition that causes the build-up of scar tissue in the lungs
  • It can lead to shortness of breath and eventual respiratory failure, and has been branded the ‘silent killer.’
  • The condition’s early symptoms are often missed or confused with a common cold or flu
  • IPF currently has no cure

The mother-of-five then added: ‘It’s because you don’t want to turn it up. That’s why – you don’t want to rely on it.’

Reflecting on her mum’s health battles, Katie said: ‘What I’ve learned from today is to spend as much time as I can with my mum.

‘You’ve just got to take each day as it is, build as many memories, don’t have regrets and just be happy.’

Katie’s YouTube video comes just after she announced she was engaged to her beau Carl Woods.

Last week, the model confirmed she was engaged to the former Love Island star, 32, after he popped the question amid a whirlwind 10-month romance.

The TV personality announced that Carl asked her mum Amy, her father and son Junior, 15, for their permission, before getting down on one knee.

Katie has also been engaged Kieran Hayler, Gladiator star Ace, 48, as well as businessman Scott Sullivan, and Peter Andre, who became her first husband in 2006.

Pete, 48, and Katie, who share children Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, together, split after three years of marriage.

Katie wed cage fighter Alex Reid, 45, in Las Vegas shortly after her divorce from Pete, before moving on with model Leandro Penna, 35.

Kieran married Katie after just six weeks of dating, and said she’s been with at least ‘seven partners’ since their breakup in 2017, including ex-fiancé Kris Boyson, 32.
