Maddie Ziegler is all business as she strolls to a meeting in Downtown Los Angeles

Maddie Ziegler was seen in downtown Los Angeles on Friday morning.

The 18-year-old Dance Moms vet cut a very chicfigure as she took strolled into the Spotify offices for a meeting.

The singer’s outing comes not long after the release of the trailer for the upcoming musical drama film West Side Story, in which she is set to appear.

Ziegler was dressed in a striking black Celine blazer that was contrasted with a plain white Le Set t-shirt during her solo trip.

The Music star added a few elements of color to her clothing ensemble with a pair of light blue Levi’s shorts and a set of striped Jimmy Choo boots while carrying a Valentino bag that featured multiple gold attachments.

The actress’ gorgeous blonde hair visibly draped onto her shoulders and she wore several pieces of jewelry during her outing.

The beauty kept herself protected from COVID-19 by wearing a dark beige face mask.

Although Ziegler appeared to be focused on the present during her solo stroll, she is currently prepping for the release of the upcoming musical drama film, West Side Story, in which she will portray Velma.

The feature is based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet as well as the original 1957 musical, which was collaborated on by Stephen Sondheim, Arthur Laurents and Leonard Bernstein.

The first film adaptation of the play starred performers such as Russ Tamblyn, Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer and was released to widespread critical acclaim in 1961.

The feature went on to win several Academy Awards following its release, including those for Best Picture and Best Director, among numerous others.

Development on a new remake began in 2014 when director Steven Spielberg first expressed his interest in trying his hand at the film.

Although the 74-year-old filmmaker was originally set to helm the upcoming fifth movie in the Indiana Jones franchise, he later stepped back from his role to focus on West Side Story.

The cast was finalized in April of 2019, and principal photography began in and around New York City a few months later, with shooting wrapping that September.

The movie will star Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler as Tony and Maria, and they will be seen alongside other performers such as Ariana Debose, Brian d’Arcy James and Rita Moreno, who appeared in the original film. 

The forthcoming feature was originally set to be released in December of 2020, although it was later pushed back in response to the onset of the global pandemic.

During an interview with IndieWire, Spielberg spoke about how he was determined to make a film that would both respect its predecessor and make an impression on modern audiences.

‘This story is not only a product of its time, but that time has returned, and it’s returned with a kind of social fury,’ he said.

The filmmaker went on to speak about how he wanted to expand on the socially pertinent themes that were present in the 1961 feature. 

Spielberg noted, ‘I really wanted to tell that Puerto Rican, Nuyorican experience of basically the migration to this country and the struggle to make a living, and to have children, and to battle against the obstacles of xenophobia and racial prejudice.’ 

West Side Story is set to be released on December 10th.
