‘Congratulations birthday girl!’ Jennifer Garner celebrates her beloved dog Birdie’s sixth birthday

Jennifer Garner took to Instagram Tuesday with a charming post in which she celebrated her golden retriever Birdie’s sixth birthday.

In the social media clip scored to a piano rendition of Happy Birthday, the 49-year-old actress prepared her beloved pooch a heart-shaped dog food patty with a candle on top, that she prepared in a mini oven.

‘This isn’t the real time, it’s just a decal,’ she said in the clip, as Birdie anxiously awaited her.

The Peppermint star told her dog, ‘Ooh are you excited … congratulations birthday girl!’

She sang Happy Birthday to Birdie, cupped the lit candle in front of the pooch and joked, ‘It’s Covid, so you can’t really blow.’

Garner, who’s mother to daughters Violet, 15, and Seraphina, 12, and son Sam, nine, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, 48 – also took part in bits such as the Hide From Your Dog in Plain Sight challenge and the Gasp at your Dog challenge.

The Camping star donned glasses and wore a grey top with blue jeans and grey sneakers, with her brown locks pulled back into a bun.

The post drew a number of positive responses, including from singer Ariana Grande, who wrote ‘crying’ and ‘hbd birdie !!!!!!!’

Garner has frequently spotlighted her beloved dog on her Instagram account, which has more than 10.8 million followers.

The Alias actress was seen in the social media post amid a report from Us Weekly that she’s resumed seeing businessman John Miller after they stopped seeing one another last summer. A source told the outlet, ‘Jen and John are back on. It started up a few weeks ago.’

In August, insiders told TMZ that the Golden Globe-winning actress had ended the relationship, which had started around February of 2018.
