Champion Australian swimmer Giaan Rooney is selling her stunning Gold Coast pad.

The 38-year-old and her husband Sam Levett completely renovated the waterfront home, but are now moving to the country after buying a macadamia farm.

While there is no price guide for the upcoming May 15 auction, Giaan first bought the pad six years ago for $860,000, according to The Gold Coast Bulletin.

The two-storey home features spectacular waterfront views, an ultra-modern pool, and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage.

The home, which is being presented by sales and marketing consultant Ronnie Jackson of Ray White Mermaid Beach, is perfect for outdoor entertaining and has a gorgeous back deck overlooking the water.

‘[It was] a process that we both loved and were heavily involved in – from meticulously planning the floor plan and outdoor spaces, to going over every minute detail until we achieved a hard wearing yet “homely” home that catered to every member of the family,’ Giaan said.

‘We had no intentions of leaving, but we now have the opportunity to give our kids the rural lifestyle my husband, Sam, grew up with.’

Giaan added that the waterfront view is second to none.

‘The sunrises over the water are spectacular and the lights of the high rises at night mean the view is ever present,’ she explained.

‘We have loved opening the house up and hosting some great parties with that real, indoor/outdoor flow that the Gold Coast is renowned for. We are sad to leave, but know that the new owners of this home will love living here as much as we have.’

In December, Giaan announced on Instagram that she and husband Sam, who she married in 2011, bought a macadamia farm in Northern NSW.

‘Are we nuts?!? Absolutely,’ Giaan wrote in her post at the time.

‘So in a year that has been so horrific for so many, we have been well and truly blessed… This year has forced us to reassess, prioritise and appreciate what we have like never before and I am so truly grateful for my health, my family and for where I live.’

It remains unclear if Giaan and Sam will permanently relocate to the farm with their family.
