Sarah Michelle Gellar slips into spandex and a cropped sweatshirt as she grabs coffee in Brentwood

Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen getting a caffeine fix after what looked to be a workout in Brentwood, California on Tuesday. 

The actress and longtime wife of Freddie Prinze Jr., 44, showed off  her toned frame in navy spandex and a cropped black sweatshirt as she patiently waited in line for a few hot beverages from Blue Bottle Coffee. 

She flashed a wave as she stood outside of the trendy neighborhood joint before heading to her car parked just a short way up from the town center. 

The Buffy actress stood outside of the grab and go spot and showed off her muscular physique in the form fitting outfit. 

She clasped onto a large leather tote bag and tied her blonde hair back into a sleek low bun while waiting with a green face mask. 

Gellar sported what looked to be a fresh manicure and affixed a pair of white aviator sunglasses to the front of her black hoodie after removing them from her face. 

And her athletic look featured a pair of pink accented Nikes for a feminine touch as she typed away on her phone. 

And after waiting six feet from a few other patrons she secured her beverages as she balanced one in each hand while sliding her purse over her body. 

Gellar recently revealed that she added a new furry friend to her brood as she debuted an adorable Dachshund named Franz on Instagram this week, calling it an early Mother’s Day gift. 

‘Because clearly two kids and two puppies are not enough … we just adopted this sweet dog that needed a home. Meet Franz… he’s a year old dachshund and the cuddliest little guy. I’m in love happy Mother’s Day to me (a little early),’ she wrote on May 2.    

The Cruel Intentions star recently escaped to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for her 44th birthday where she enjoyed lots of time relaxing in the sun and an elaborate fireworks display on the beach with friends including Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad. 

After a full year of lockdown, supervising Zoom-schooling, and running a household she shared some glistening photos as she joked: ‘Yup… I remember how to do this (I was actually concerned I wouldn’t remember how to relax but thankfully it’s like riding a bike).’ 

And she was fully vaccinated just in time to escape to paradise sans-kids as she showed off her last shot via Instagram on March 30, revealing that she felt relieved to be protected, after a  ‘very scary’ year as someone with special risk factors.   

‘I am proud to say that I am fully vaccinated against #covid19. As someone who suffers from severe asthma, and has been hospitalized because of it, this last year has been really scary. But I didn’t just get this shot for me. I got it for all the immune compromised people. I got it for every person that lost a loved one due to covid. I got it, in the hopes that all kids can return safely to school,’ she wrote in part.
