Justin Bieber has announced that he has pushed his Justice World Tour to 2022.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter made the news public through his official website, where it was also noted that he had added seven new dates to the event series.

The hitmaker was originally supposed to kick off his tour in 2020, although his team ultimately made the decision to postpone the shows.

Showbiz411 first reported a week ago that the show was being pushed.

In a statement via Billboard, Bieber expressed his desire to take to the road and noted that the extra time would be used to make plans for the upcoming events in order to give concertgoers the best possible experience.

‘We’re working hard to make this tour the best one yet…I’m excited to get out there and engage with my fans again,’ he wrote.

The new dates are set to take place in cities such as Austin, Jacksonville and Cincinnati, among several others.

After the event series was initially postponed, the Baby singer’s management team moved the originally scheduled dates to this year, although they were put off due to the ongoing state of the global pandemic.

The tour was also supposed to promote his fifth studio album, entitled Changes, and the upcoming concerts will also see the hitmaker performing tracks from Justice as well.

Bieber’s first run of concert dates occurred in 2009 and took place at five Urban Behavior locations in his native Canada.

He later embarked on the My World Tour, which saw him raking in over $53million in profits at the end of the series.

The Love Yourself singer quickly followed his second run with the Believe Tour, where he promoted his third studio album.

The concert series was marked by events that brought the songwriter under heavy media scrutiny, including an incident where he vomited on stage, which he later attributed to drinking milk before performing.

Bieber then took a hiatus from touring in order to focus on recording his fourth studio album, Purpose, which was released in 2015.

The following year, he embarked on another world tour in support of his then-latest studio effort.

Although the run of concerts was well-received by the public and went on to become the highest-grossing tours of 2016 and 2017, the singer canceled its last 14 dates, citing exhaustion and depression.
