They usually turn to surfing when they want to enjoy some time out in nature.
But Leighton Meester and her husband Adam Brody opted for a change of scenery on Thursday when they went out for a walk with their five-year-old daughter Arlo.
The 35-year-old Gossip Girl star and the 41-year-old O.C. actor were seen out in a wooded area in Los Angeles as they took a family hike.

Though Leighton’s known for her glamorous style from her Gossip Girl days, the actress prioritized functionality and comfort for their hike.
She had on a pair of dark blue overalls, along with a pale yellow T-shirt and a ribbed mustard yellow sweater.
She wore a patterned burgundy bandana as a face covering and had on round-frame sunglasses while tying her brown hair back.
Adam was even more low key with a plain black T-shirt, dark jeans and black Adidas trainers.

He sported a shaggy quarantine hairdo and carried some of Arlo’s supplies, including a white backpack and what looked like a blue and pink sleeping bag, though it wasn’t clear if the family were just going out for a picnic or doing some camping.
Arlo looked cute in an orange fleece-lined coat with a red shirt and yellow black-dotted pants with white sneakers.
Adam held hands with her as they walked to the parking lot.
The couple announced that they had welcomed a baby son back in September, but it wasn’t clear if he was along for the ride.

Adam also played the lead in the critically acclaimed mystery dramedy The Kid Detective, which earned an impressive 83 percent certified fresh rating from critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes.
Meanwhile, Leighton’s iconic series Gossip Girl is being rebooted with a new series premiering in July.
In an interview with WSJ Magazine, Adam suggested neither of them would be obsessively watching the reboot.
‘I highly doubt we’ll watch it front to back,’ he said. ‘I don’t think we’re the audience, but I’m sure we’ll dip our toes in.’
