And now, as the hit British TV show comes back for its 21st series, Ollie has spoken candidly to Daily Mail Australia about his time on the show.

The 33-year-old revealed that he feels ‘lucky’ to still be part of the show and said he would love an original cast reunion.

In particular, Ollie said he would love to see Catherine Dunlop or Caggie, 32, make a return.

Caggie left the show in it’s third season, after her on/off relationship with Spencer Matthews failed to materialise and to pursue her music career.

‘I would love an original cast reunion… with a few iconic characters along the way,’ Ollie said.

Ollie, who appears on the show with new husband Gareth Locke, admitted that there is a ‘different dynamic’ this season thanks to the entire cast living together while filming, and teased there’s a bit of drama.

‘Drama comes from new and unexpected places when you live together,’ he said.

‘However, being the best friend to most, I laughed throughout this season, very happily making awkward faces and drinking a large glass of something in the corner with Gareth watching the madness unfold.’

He added: ‘Being locked away was not ideal, but we had to make it work.’

Ollie fondly spoke about his time on the show over the years and says he looks back at it all with ‘a real mixture of emotions.’

‘Pride of being on this show for so long is very much one of them,’ he said.

‘Luck, difficulties, kindness of people who watch the show, and we have to mention some hideous break ups. But above all an adventure which I simply couldn’t have foreseen and what a way to live your twenties.’

In season one of the show, Ollie had a girlfriend, Gabriella Ellis, and in the years following he came out as bisexual and then as gay.

Ollie reflected on how far he’s come on the show and on being a fan favourite, saying he feels ‘incredibly lucky.’

‘I signed my contract in October 2010, before anyone knew the word Instagram,’ he said.

‘I had a long-term girlfriend, Gabriella, and wore questionable fashion choices.’

‘So I am incredibly lucky to still be able to live my life on camera, still trying to make people laugh and now leading to a hugely new side of life, married to a man and about to embark on having a family.’
