Kate Ferdinand admits she’s ‘nervous’ to attend her first baby class with son Cree

She’s been adjusting to motherhood ever since she welcomed her first child, a boy called Cree, with her husband Rio Ferdinand last December.

And Kate Ferdinand admitted on Monday that she was ‘nervous’ to attend her first baby class with her son as she sat in her car outside, declaring: ‘I’m scared to go in!’

The former TOWIE star, 29, also told how she missed her gym session on the day after being left ‘exhausted’ following a sleepless night with her son.

Fears: Kate Ferdinand admitted on Monday that she was ‘nervous’ to attend her first baby class with her son as she sat in her car outside, declaring: ‘I’m scared to go in!’

Speaking on her Instagram stories, Kate told the camera that she regrets sharing her hopes for a restful night the previous day, after she enjoyed a ‘fun afternoon’ with her family.

She said: ‘Guys, I jinxed myself! I jinxed myself last night and I’m so angry because I should never have put it on social media “hope he sleeps through the night”.’

‘He’s normally such a good boy, he sleeps really well but I think he’s having a sleep regression. So I’m exhausted.

She continued: ‘I don’t know how, I’ve managed to put make-up on, got the big kids up for school and ended up going back to sleep when Cree went to sleep, but I’m up, I’m here, I’m not moaning (I sort of am!)’

Captioning the clip, she wrote: ‘Missed the gym this morning as well… sorry @meldeane12.’

Revealing her fears at heading to the baby class without beau Rio, she went on: ‘I’m waiting at our first baby class and I’m really nervous, I’m scared to go in! Does anyone else feel like this?

‘He’s asleep in the back, is he going to wake for the class? Do I wake him for the class? Are people going to be nice to me? Does anyone else feel like this?

‘Because since Covid, obviously you could normally bring someone. But I’m gonna go in guys, I just hope I’m not the only one that feels nervous before you do anything like this. Wish me luck!’

A short time later, Kate then shared a message titled ‘baby class update.’

She wrote: ‘I plucked up the courage and went in… it was absolutely fine, everyone was lovely & Cree loved it.

‘It’s easy to say now… but I don’t know why I was so worried about.

‘For anyone who is feeling nervous about a class, I know it’s hard but once your in there it’s all ok, please be brave and go in. I don’t think you will regret it,’ [sic]

Earlier this month, Kate said that she ‘didn’t miss’ her little one while on her first night out since becoming a mother.

The TV star explained the evening with her pals was ‘fabulous’ and she ‘felt like herself again’ in a new interview with The Mirror.

And although having a ‘lovely time’, she added that she only had a ‘couple of drinks’ as she’s ‘scared’ of hangovers now she has to think of a ‘middle of the night wakeup’.

Reflecting on her fun night, the Essex native told the publication: ‘It was fabulous, I don’t know if I’m meant to say that.

‘I’ve seen lots of people who have been like, “Oh my God, you must have missed the baby so much.” I was like, no. I had a lovely time, it was really, really good.

‘You’ve got to think of the middle of the night wakeup, it’s just not worth it to be honest.’

Kate also reflected on how she’s found the past year and having a baby during the pandemic.

She sweetly admitted that Cree’s arrival has been a ‘blessing’ and made lockdown extra special for the family as they’ve all got to spend lots of time with him.

Kate shared snaps from her first night out since having Cree in April, with the social media star looking sensational in a khaki suit.

Posting on social media, she wrote: ‘First night out in what feels like forever so of course that warrants a photo shoot right? … in fact the last time I went out and had a drink was March 2020.  Wish me luck … #kateloves.’

Kate was also seen sipping on a well-deserved G&T as she enjoyed a lunch at Scott’s in Mayfair with her friends the week after.
