Katie Holmes was pictured taking a stroll in New York City on Monday afternoon.
The 42-year-old actress attempted to remain incognito during her solo outing while taking in the pleasant springtime weather and viewing the change in the seasons.
The sighting comes after the star and producer also recently wrapped up principal photography on her second effort as a director, which was filmed in secret.

Holmes was dressed in a gray button-up sleeved blouse that featured several embroidered flowers scattered across its length.
She contrasted her top with a pair of loose-fitting striped blue trousers that remained cuffed at the bottom of their pant legs.
The Dawson’s Creek actress added an element of lightness to her outfit with matching sets of white socks and sneakers.
The entertainment industry figure obscured much of her typically flowing brunette hair and visage with a leather bucket hat and a dark green facial covering.

Although she is primarily known for her work as an actress, Holmes has also worked as a director and previously helmed the 2016 feature All We Had, in which she also starred.
According to Deadline, she recently finished working on a second film, which is currently untitled and was produced in secret.
The feature is set to follow two strangers who must confront their bad relationships and their own personal animosity toward one another while spending quarantine in the same New York Airbnb.
Holmes also wrote the screenplay for the project, and co-producers Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman gave a statement to the media outlet to comment on the performer’s abilities.

‘As soon as we read this script, and heard Katie’s vision, we knew this was a project we had to be a part of. Katie is just as talented a writer/director as she is an actress,’ they said.
The producer also spoke to the publication and noted that she was excited to have worked on a project that directly dealt with the impact of the global pandemic.
‘I am so grateful to have been supported in telling a story about this particular time in all of our lives and I am proud to be a part of this team of creatives,’ she remarked.

When she is not working on her various projects, Holmes is also a full-time mother to her daughter Suri, aged 15, whom she shares with her former husband, Tom Cruise.
On Sunday, the actress posted a black-and-white throwback photo to her Instagram account that showed her kissing her daughter’s cheek in her early days.
She also included a brief message to let her followers know that she was happy about being a parent and also to send her best wishes to all of her fans with children.
Holmes wrote: ‘I am so grateful to be a mom to the sweetest daughter. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms!!!!’
