Big Brother’s Daniel Hayes breaks down after learning his best mate was evicted while he was in isolation for Covid – before vowing revenge and sending Melissa McGorman home

On Tuesday’s episode of Big Brother Australia, Daniel Hayes emerged from isolation after falling ill, to learn his best friend in the house was evicted.

The real estate agent got back a negative Covid-19 test after running a high fever and showing symptoms of an illness.

When he was freed from the isolation room, he broke down when he found out Nick Benton had been kicked out.

‘I hate this, he was my only friend in here,’ he wept, as Sarah Jane Adams tried to comfort him.

‘I trusted him with everything. I don’t trust anyone here. I trust him,’ he added, openly sobbing.

In the diary room, Darren went on: ‘I actually couldn’t believe it, he was so loyal to me, and he always said he would go down with the ship.

‘So he went down with the ship, good on him, I respected that,’ he added.

Darren then vowed revenge on Katie Williams, who put Nick up for eviction.

‘My plan moving forward is I will eat humble pie, because that is what you do in here. Keep things nice with king Katie.

‘But make no mistake, it’s time to hustle, to play a little bit dirtier than I have been playing.

‘Give me one chance, one shot at them, and I will take the whole mountain down,’ he said angrily.

Later in the episode, Daniel was gifted a limousine full of treats and Champagne and told he could invite others inside.

He picked all his biggest enemies in the house:  Katie, Marley Biyendolo, Tilly Whitfield, Jess Trend and Mary Kalifatidis.

Daniel did so to get them onside – it worked, and at the end of the episode, Melissa McGorman was evicted by the alliance Daniel had formed.
