Natalie Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied inspect a $3million mansion in rural New South Wales

Natalie Portman’s stay in Australia may be more permanent than previously reported.

The 39-year-old actress, who recently relocated to Sydney to film the new Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder, was spotted house hunting with her husband Benjamin Millepied, 43, in rural New South Wales on Monday.

The couple are seen arriving at a $3million rustic mansion in the Hunter Region of New South Wales before embarking upon a guided tour with an agent.

They pulled up to the grassy site in a white Audi, parked outside and made their way through the long grass towards the property on foot.

Natalie dressed for comfort in white denim cut-off shorts and a black jumper, while her husband wore a blue-and-white printed T-shirt and black jeans.

The pair both protected their eyes from the autumnal glare by wearing sunglasses for the outing.

Natalie and Benjamin looked deep in thought as they pondered what their day-to-day existence would be like living in the sticks.

Described as a ‘reimagined Australian country villa,’ this expansive complex boasts a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and grassy landscape.

It was designed by Peter Stutchbury, one of Australia’s most esteemed architects known for his modern-meets-tradition aesthetic and innovative approach to sustainability.

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the building is its ‘inverted’ correlated roof that slopes inwards instead of outwards, creating a more ‘open’ looking aesthetic.

The home would also provide more than enough room for Natalie’s growing family, thanks to its four light-filled bedrooms, three bedrooms.
