‘We meet every Tuesday for a glass of wine!’ Global Icon Taylor Swift lives it up with Haim as the American acts enjoy a boozy night in after triumph at the BRIT Awards
- The 2021 BRIT Awards took place at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday night, and marked the first major indoor music event in over a year
- Bosses released 2,500 free tickets to key National Health Service workers and the ceremony was broadcast live on ITV
- There were a slew of performances from artists including Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Elton John, Pink and Arlo Parks
The after-parties may well be off, but BRIT Award winners Taylor Swift and Haim still ensured it was a late night as they celebrated their respective accolades on Tuesday evening.
Both American acts triumphed at the socially distanced event, with Taylor claiming the coveted Global Icon award while California based indie trio Haim were named Best International Group.
But while health and safety guidelines in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the cancellation of any after-parties in London, they still let their hair down after returning to their hotel.
Good times: The after-parties may well be off, but BRIT Award winners Taylor Swift and Haim still ensured it was a late night as they celebrated their respective accolades on Tuesday evening
Taking to Instagram shortly after the annual ceremony – which was delayed by three months due to Britain’s recent lockdown measures – Taylor, 31, shared a snap of herself downing wine with the three sisters as they celebrated their win.
Captioning the image, she joked: ‘We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine.’
Both acts were in the mood to party, with Haim – sisters Este, Alana and Danielle – recognised following the release of third album Women in Music, Pt. III.
Meanwhile Taylor picked up the biggest award of the night after enjoying more than two decades of consistent success and releasing nine albums – two of which were recorded during lockdown.
