Holiday firm offers keen shoppers coach trips to the world’s biggest Primark in Birmingham for £20

A holiday firm has offered keen shoppers £20 coach trips to visit the world’s biggest Primark in Birmingham.

Yorkshire Rose Holidays is taking keen spenders from  Barnsley, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Pontefract, Castleford, Huddersfield and Brighouse to the sprawling low-cost shop on June 26.

Birmingham’s Primark – which opened in April 2019 – is the largest fashion store in the world, with a Guinness World Records adjudication to prove it.

And a visit can turn into a full-day experience, with its five floors of fashion, a beauty salon, barber and three different dining experiences – including the Disney Café.

It has a mini Hogwarts Wizarding World zone as well as a custom lab for personalising different items such as t-shirts.

The branch is 5,000 square foot bigger than its previous-largest store in Manchester, with 160,100 square foot of retail space.

When it opened in 2019, 5,000 people visited on the first day alone – and it seems the demand still hasn’t died down.

The store employs more than 1,000 people. A further 100 work in the ‘partner experiences’, such as chefs and hair stylists.

The Disney Café – which features interactive tables for children to play with – is one of three restaurants on the site; the others being the Mezz restaurant and the Primarket Café.

Also on site is Duck & Dry Xpress, Primark’s largest ever beauty studio for nails, make-up, hair, eyebrows and lashes, as well as Mills barbers for male customers.

The central escalator block at the heart of the building is emblazoned with slogans like ‘Hello Brum’ and ‘find your amazing’ lit up in neon blue.

There are also digital window displays to entice passing shoppers – as well items from its clothing range dedicated to Harry Potter, which first launched in September 2017.

There’s even a custom T-shirt printing station, where Disney fans can get their own text below an image of their favourite character on official Disney tees, which start at £5 for children’s sizes.

There are also facts about the flagship store’s hometown dotted around the walls, with one reading: ‘Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery holds the largest collection of Pre-Raphaelite art in the world.’

A Primark spokesperson previously told how the store created more than 500 new jobs in the area when it opened – while 430 colleagues will transfer from its existing location in Birmingham.
