Amelia Gray Hamlin transforms into mom Lisa Rinna for Paper Magazine

Amelia Gray Hamlin made an incredible transformation into her mom Lisa Rinna as a Mother’s Day gift, which was in turn published for Paper Magazine. 

The 19-year-old model girlfriend of Scott Disick, 37, channeled her Real Housewives mom as she rocked her iconic shag haircut and recreated famed looks of Lisa’s from the nineties. 

One particular photo featured Amelia in an Alaïa dress that had been gifted to her by her mom, and in another she slipped into Lisa’s Vera Wang wedding gown, with Lisa telling the publication she ‘was just blown away,’ by the shoot. 

Amelia went all out for the artful series which she shot as a Mother’s Day present, joking that she wanted to do something ‘so unique and cool,’ that it would make Rinna, 57, forget about holiday mishaps in years past. 

And in trying to capture many of Lisa’s ‘iconic eras and phases,’ Amelia went through her mom’s archived dresses that were conveniently located in the garage and went to a wig shop to get the hair just right. 

The whole shoot however was made easier by Amelia being a ‘spitting image,’ of her mom, she said. ‘I feel like people don’t really realize it, but my mom and I are spitting images of each other. We look like twins, but different.’ 

But she did have to get a little crafty in the hair department so she went to a wig shop to find two wigs she could style properly to get the shots she envisioned.  

‘All I was thinking about was, “I need to get my a** to a wig shop.” The budget I spent on this was probably $200. I bought one Lisa Rinna-looking wig and then I got one long black wig and cut it and curled it. 

‘They were all synthetic, so it was hard but I made it work. I messed and played with it until I finally resembled the absolute perfect look of her in the Alaïa dress. I don’t even know how it came together, but it did. All I did for the shoot was buy two wigs and then I went into her bathroom and stole some jewelry,’ she shared. 

And Amelia also confessed that though she used her mom’s photos as inspiration she wanted to breathe new life into the shoot and capture more imagined intimate moments of her getting ready at home before a night out. 

For another shot she slipped into her mom’s custom Vera Wang wedding dress which she confessed was the ‘weirdest thing ever to put on,’ but also ‘the most surreal feeling.’ 

Amelia also noted that she will wear the same dress Lisa wore for her 1997 marriage to Harry Hamlin — which ‘fits perfectly’ — when she walks down the aisle, or hopes for a custom gown like her mom’s.  

‘I’m not talking about a wedding any time soon, but you’ve inspired me. Ever since I was a little girl and walking down that hallway with the Vera sketches, I knew that I’m going to get a dress from Vera or I’m going to wear your dress. That was my dream: to either get a new Vera or to wear yours. 

‘Putting it on was the most it was the most surreal feeling. And by the way, I put it on in your bathroom and had a moment to myself. I literally almost started to tear up because I was also wearing your veil,’ she shared. 

Though she said she wasn’t interested in getting married any time soon, she continues to be in an increasingly serious relationship with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star who is nearly 20 years her senior. 

Rinna had her reservations about the relationship initially, saying he was ‘so old,’ in a teaser clip for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. 

But Amelia and Scott’s relationship has continued to grow, with her even revealing she has a nickname for he and Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope, and gushing that the Talentless designer is her ‘dream man.’ 

The pair first stepped out together publicly in October 2020 and continue to spend time jetsetting to Miami and ringing in milestone holidays including New Year’s and Valentine’s Day — going Instagram official days before.  

Many of her Instagram photos are taken from the comfort of the pool and bathroom at his Hidden Hills mansion, and a source said that this relationship is ‘different,’ from that of his with Sofia Richie in that he is spending more time with Amelia than Kourtney — who he said would always be a ‘priority.’ 

A source recently told ET that Scott is Amelia’s ‘first serious boyfriend,’ and that she is ‘really into him.’ 

It was also noted that the pair have plans to move in with Scott — who was said to be temporarily relocating to Miami. 

‘Amelia is planning on moving in with him. Scott was lonely when he and Sofia broke up, which is one of the reasons he and Amelia got together so quickly. They’ve been getting a bit more serious for now,’ the insider said.
