Guess who! Popular TV presenter looks very different in high school photo

Guess who! She’s one of Australia’s most popular TV stars… but would you recognise this smiling teen from their high school photo?

She’s a veteran journalist and TV presenter.

After beginning her career as a receptionist at Channel Nine, she moved on to presenting a nightly news program on Channel 10 and even had a stint on breakfast.

She left her television career behind after two decades in 2018 to explore other opportunities – but would you recognise her from her school days?

Guess who! A popular TV presenter shared a sweet throwback snap of herself in her school uniform as a teenager (pictured)… So can YOU recognise who it is?

The well-known personality shared a throwback photo to Instagram on Wednesday, and she looked hardly recognisable in her youth.

The girl in the photo is none other than Jessica Rowe.

The broadcaster and Crap Housewife author still has her trademark short hair these days, but otherwise looks quite different.

It's Jess! The blonde stunner is none other than Jessica Rowe.

Jessica shared an image from her teenage years to show her support for a sexual consent awareness campaign.

‘Here I am – aged around fourteen. I hated my brown school uniform! And now I won’t wear brown!’ she wrote in the caption.

‘Being a teenager is hard and I believe it’s even harder being young in 2021. I’m passionate about helping our young women and young men navigate these tricky years. Part of that includes holistic consent education in schools,’ she added.

Crap Housewife: She went on to become a published author and even became a self-proclaimed 'Crap Housewife.'

In 2018, she left her presenting role on Studio 10 to spend more time with her daughters, Allegra, 13, and Giselle, 11, and husband, Nine newsreader Peter Overton.

‘There wasn’t a light-bulb moment in terms of making this decision, but we went on a family holiday last year [and] I started to think long and hard about how being present with them made them feel and made me feel,’ she said at the time.

‘I’d feel that behind my eyes and was just about keeping it together. And I thought, ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’

‘I knew that I was heading down, I knew that my anxiety was there, that I was getting depressed and that if I didn’t make a change I’d start to falter.’

Jessica told The Australian Women’s Weekly in March 2019 she’d been close to breaking point when she decided to quit her morning TV role.

‘I could feel at the end of each show, not every day, but most days I would be close to tears,’ she said at the time.
