Shanna Moakler claims she ‘caught’ ex Travis Barker having an ‘affair’ with Kim Kardashian

Shanna Moakler claims that she divorced husband Travis Barker after she ‘caught’ him ‘having an affair’ with Kim Kardashian.

The model, 46, split from Travis, 45, in 2006 and after a brief reconciliation they finalised their divorce in 2008. 

Now Shanna claims it was her husband’s infidelity that prompted her to sign the papers, telling  Us Weekly: ‘I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair.’

Travis is currently dating Kim’s elder sister Kourtney, while Kim is in the midst of divorcing her husband Kanye West.  

Shanna added that she ‘saw text messages’ between the pair and alleged the ‘affair’ took place before Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered in 2007. 

Travis famously filed for divorce from Shanna in 2006, after just two years of marriage, after claiming that she had been unfaithful towards him.  

Shanna claimed mutual friends of the trio told her of the alleged affair, stating ‘they sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.’

According to Shanna’s timeline, Kim was still working alongside Paris Hilton as her ‘closet organizer’ when she first came in contact with Travis.  

She said: ‘[Travis] had already had an affair with Paris Hilton. And… at the time Kim was Paris’ closet organizer, they were best friends. And he started using [Kim] as a model for [his clothing company], Famous Stars and Straps’.

She added that she had asked her former husband to ‘not to use’ Kim as a model due to her direct ties to Paris, and that she and Travis had been ‘working on our marriage and trying to heal through that affair’, that but he continued to work with Kim despite her wishes.

Shanna continued: ‘Then I received all the text messages and the other third parties kind of let me know. It’s something I was well aware of.’

Travis previously referenced his infatuation with Kim in his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums.

He referred to Kim as Paris’ ‘closet girl’, as he discussed their interactions in the early Noughties. 

He penned: ‘I kept on secretly checking out Kim, telling Lil Chris, “I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f***ing hot”‘. 

Despite finding Kim attractive, Travis wrote that he ‘wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her’ and that he ‘never touched’ the reality star, even after enjoying a few one-on-one meals together. 

Yet Shanna insisted to Us Weekly that Travis ‘100 percent’ lied in his memoir about ‘never’ hooking up with Kim. 

DailyMail.com has contacted Kim and Travis’ representatives for comment.  

Although Shanna is certain something romantic occurred between the pair, a source close to the Kardashian clan told Page Six on Tuesday that ‘Travis and Kim have never had a romantic relationship.’

The insider stressed that Kim and Travis ‘were friends who met through Paris Hilton and that is also how Kourtney and Travis were introduced.’

Claims that Kim had an affair with Travis are not new, with Aubrey O’Day posting about the alleged infidelity back in July 2020.

In a lengthy Instagram post at the time, Aubrey penned: ‘I was ‘bffs’ with Kim Kardashian during a fourth [of July]. She was hooking up with Travis Barker and we were at his house.. he was really dope. 

‘Shanna his ex (who I love) supposedly was threatening to slash [Kim’s] tires (sorry girl but that was funny s**t, I would have too) so they asked her to park her car somewhere else.

‘We took off and went to some bs celeb Malibu parties where [Kim] desired to be photographed, and I had to run around house after house in an uncomfortable dress and high heels to appease that. She got all her photos with celebrities accomplished and we headed back to Calabasas.

Aubrey continued: ‘I was super annoyed that we had to do all of that because I absolutely LOVE fireworks and I have always been in memorable places watching them every year. Because we had to chase clout extra hard we got on [the] freeway late and ended up in her Range Rover as the fireworks started.

‘I obviously would never tell her I was annoyed AF, because you’re not allowed to if you want to be ‘bffs’ with her. So I asked her if she could pull off the road so we could get out and just experience (SOMETHING REAL) the fireworks. 

‘And she did. And we sat on this plot of grass watching them and all I remember feeling is relieved to see the beauty of them. 

‘And she turned to me and said: you know last year on the fourth I was on a yacht with Paris Hilton in the middle of some remote beautiful place … and this year I’m sitting on a plot of grass in calabasas with you.’ Hahahaha. I was like, oh.. cool. [sic]’ 

Travis is currently romantically involved with Kim’s eldest sister Kourtney, 42, which Shanna voiced some obvious distaste for to Us Weekly.

‘He is dating [Kim’s] sister now, so I think that would be really weird,’ said Shanna, before stating that she ‘didn’t even know Kourtney existed’ at the time of her suspicions about Travis and Kim.

Although things appear to be going strong between Travis and Kourtney, Shanna insisted that she has ‘no desire’ to speak with the POOSH founder.

Shanna’s allegations about Travis and Kim come just days after her daughter Alabama, whom she shares with the drummer, accused her of being an ‘absent mom’. 

The 15-year-old took to Instagram to speak out after her mother Shanna commented on Travis’ new relationship with Kourtney and the Kim affair claims.   

Alabama shared what appeared to be a screenshot of a message from Shanna to someone unknown, and wrote in the caption: ‘Everybody thinks my mother is amazing, Matthew is nothing but awful to her not only that but he cheats on her.

Shanna has been dating model and actor Matthew Rondeau on and off in recent months.

He has been criticized for never posting photos of the mother-of-three on his social media while Shanna regularly documents their romantic escapades.

‘My mom has never completely been in my life, can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom. Did your mom ask to see you on Mother’s Day cause mine didn’t? I’m done keeping a secret, reality shows.’ Alabama added.

In Shanna’s message, the model said: ‘I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim! Now he’s in love with her sister…It’s all gross…I’m not the bad guy!’

She also claimed that Travis controls Alabama’s social media and that she ‘gets blamed for [Alabama’s] sexualization’.

‘How does a father allow her to act like that and do lives at 4am? With men twice her age…’ she wrote. 

Shanna and Travis’ other child, son Landon, 17, then waded in to say Shanna could be more involved in their lives.

Responding to a TikTok commentator who implied that he and his sibling were siding with their father, Landon replied: ‘Actually, if you weren’t such a dumb**s, you would realize our mom has never been in our lives and isn’t in our lives like our dad is.’ 

On April 16, Landon also called Shanna and Matthew the ‘most on and off relationship ever’ and told his mother, ‘You can do so much better’ in comments under one of her posts featuring her younger beau.

He then commented on a photo of Travis and girlfriend Kourtney nearly two weeks later and called the couple’s romance ‘True love’ on April 28. 

Shanna and Travis were married from October 2004 to 2006 and once had their own reality show, Meet The Barkers, which documented their everyday life with their kids. Shanna also has 22-year-old daughter Atiana with ex partner Oscar De La Hoya. 

In response to Alabama’s claims, Shanna was asked why her kids spend more time with their father in an Instagram Q&A. 

‘Because he lives behind two gates, has a mega mansion and is cooler than me.’ she replied. ‘LOL, we have shared custody but our kids are older. We are very close.’

It comes after Shanna spoke to People about Travis’ PDA with girlfriend Kourtney.

‘I’m very much over my ex,’ the actress, 46, told the site. ‘It’s been a long time. However, do I think some of the PDA that he’s doing with her is weird? [Yes].’ 

Not only that, but Shanna pointed out some similarities between Travis’ new romance with Kourtney and their former marriage.

‘The movie, True Romance, that I feel like they’ve been bonding over was the theme of our wedding. Our daughter’s named after the character in the movie. Flying banners overhead like we did on Meet the Barkers. Stuff like that… I just think it’s weird,’ Shanna told the site.

Travis got a True Romance inspired tattoo on his leg back in March, and the couple regularly quote the movie in their social media comments. More recently Travis had a plane fly a banner wishing Kourtney a happy birthday. 

‘My kids seem to really like her and her family, so that’s key,’ Shanna told People.
