Real Housewives Of New Jersey reunion: Teresa Giudice wipes away tears while asking God for a break

Teresa Giudice politely asked God for a break during The Real Housewives Of New Jersey reunion Wednesday on Bravo.

The 49-year-old reality star wiped away tears during the season 11 reunion as show host Andy Cohen, 52, showed clips of a memorial service for her late father Giacinto Gorga who died age 76 in April 2020.

‘It sucks. One thing after another. I went to jail, then Joe went to jail, then I lost my mom, and then I lost my dad. It’s like, can I have a break, please, God?,’ Teresa said referencing her ex-husband Joe Giudice and their stints in federal prison on fraud charges.

‘I think his name is Luis,’ said Andy, referencing Teresa’s new boyfriend Luis Ruelas. 

Andy then relayed a message from viewer Patty of Woodbury, New York, who asked Teresa for advice after losing her parents two months ago and feeling depressed and lonely.

‘I guess just talk to them. And I did ask my parents to send me a great guy. And the street that I asked my parents to send me a great guy, that’s the street that I met Luis on. Bay Boulevard,’ Teresa revealed.

Andy then asked her brother what he thought of Luis Ruelas. 

‘I like him. Nice guy. They’re extremely happy. They love each other,’ Joe replied.

‘They’re kind of a little annoying when you’re together with them,’ he teased while pretending to kiss.

Joe shortly after admitted to Andy that he had been holding back his anger at Teresa’s ex-husband for a long time.

‘Long time. Extremely long time. My parents held it in for a long time, because they had four granddaughters that they took care and they loved, you know? It was a very hard time,’ Joe said.

 ‘I know you went to prison. We went to prison too. And to walk into a house and say, “Hi. How are you?” To the man that put your daughter or your sister in prison. You know, and my mom. Think about what it did to her. You know how many times she cried to me? She didn’t cry to you. She was strong. You know how many times she cried to me?,’ he added.

Joe remained upset that Teresa had not defended him after her ex badmouthed him in the press and Andy told Teresa that he also had some recent press from her ex.

‘He said the only person that hurt your dad was Joe Gorga. He took money from your dad, that your parents lost their home because of Joe Gorga. He never helped your mom when she was sick. He never showed up when she was in the hospital. Melissa never checked on her,’ Andy read aloud.

Teresa and her brother both refuted the claims as Joe recalled sleeping with his mother every night in the hospital.

Joe revealed that Teresa’s ex never apologized to their parents and declared that he was done speaking his name.

The reunion also included several sparring sessions between the cast members including Joe Gorga’s wife Melissa, 42, accusing Jennifer Aydin, 44, of talking about her and her husband behind their backs.

‘Throughout this season, you haven’t seen me say one negative thing about you. You are constantly in your confessionals talking about me, talking about my husband,’ Melissa told Jennifer.

Clips were then show of Jennifer mocking Melissa for being narcissistic and expressing surprise when hearing from Michelle that Joe owed her husband money from a business deal.

‘Let me tell you something. When we were in Lake George, Margaret and I were on the couch. …The cameras were not rolling. She said, “Michelle came on the show purposely to try to ambush you”,’ Jennifer said referencing Margaret Josephs, 54.

‘And I said, “Well, you know, to be honest, I’ve kind of heard that before about Joe Gorga, but I don’t know.” And she looked at me- your friend -she said, ” “You —-ING kidding me? My husband’s a plumber. You think we don’t know he doesn’t pay people?”,’ Jennifer said.

‘You are a liar,’ Margaret declared. ‘Melissa, do you think I would ever say that?’

Jennifer swore that she was telling the truth and claimed she told Teresa that night about it.

‘She did tell me that,’ Teresa confirmed.

Margaret continued to insist that Jennifer was lying.

‘Jesus, I can’t believe the s*** that comes out of her mouth,’ Margaret said.

‘Really? That came out of your mouth, actually. I’m just repeating it,’ Jennifer retorted.

‘Biggest s*** starter known to man,’ Margaret said.

Joe joined the women after the start of the reunion and was asked by Andy why he and Melissa fought so much during the past season.

He first wanted to clarify the charge that he was ‘old school’ in their relationship.

‘If this was me on House Husbands Of New Jersey, I don’t think I could even be on the show, because she would never allow me. She wouldn’t. Be honest, be honest,’ Joe said.

Joe said when they first got married he wasn’t allowed to go across the street to play cards.

‘I wasn’t allowed to go, ’cause my wife, she slowly cut my balls out,’ Joe said.

‘Oh, my God!,’ Melissa said.

Teresa confirmed that they both did everything together while Melissa added that she and Joe were both jealous types and preferred being ‘in each other’s sight’.

Melissa later stood up for Joe and said he wasn’t ‘chauvinistic’.

‘He’s a supporter of women,’ Melissa said.

Margaret and Jennifer also went at each other after having several arguments during the season.

Jennifer accused Margaret of belittling her husband Joe Benigno, but Dolores Catania, 50, disagreed with her.

Jackie Goldschneider, 44, got dragged into it and warned Jennifer not to threaten her after her family was dragged this past season over a cheating rumor involving her husband Evan.

‘I’m not saying a threat. I’m trying to tell you that she is the cause of the rumor,’ Jennifer declared while pointing at Margaret.

‘Okay. Now you’re gonna go down, Jennifer. Don’t say I’m the cause of the rumor,’ Margaret warned.

‘All right, I won’t say it. I’ll let Teresa say it,’ Jennifer replied smugly.

”If Teresa’s gonna try and say I started this rumor, it’s gonna go down very bad,’ Margaret declared as the first of two reunion episodes ended.

The RHONJ reunion part two will air next week on Bravo.
