Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Khloé Kardashian shows off ‘dream house’ while under construction

Khloé Kardashian showed off the new ‘dream house’ she was building next to mom Kris Jenner‘s home on Thursday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The 36-year-old reality star took viewers on a tour of the Hidden Hills location, which was still under construction and reportedly cost $17 million.

She’d invited twin pals Malika Haqq and Khadija Haqq McCray, 38, along for the ride, and said she was showing it to them before anyone else—even her sisters.

It was literally a stone’s throw from the $20 million mansion purchased by her mother Kris, 64.

‘My mom and I found two lots next door to each other, and we are both building our dream homes,’ Khloé explained in a confessional. ‘They will not be done for months and months and months, but I am so stoked to be living right next to my mom—and when I mean. ‘right next,’ I mean sharing property lines. We are neighbors.’

The Good American founder anticipated moving into her pad in April, but at the time the episode aired she was still living elsewhere.

Khloe happily showed her pals the space she’d turn into a great room, and pointed out how a massive bank of windows would open up to a fire pit, pool and pavilion area.

Her ‘master’s quarters’ would come with a ‘big-a** closet and glam room, she added.

‘This is exactly what you need,’ marveled a tickled Khadija, who’d had no idea Khloé was even building herself a house.

‘I mean, I love, love, love my current home,’ Khloé told the cameras. ‘I’m only moving because the expansion I wanted to do on my current home I am unable to do for a slew of reasons.’

She had sold that property in Calabasas, California, for $15.5 million in November, reports said.

In her new place, an elevator would rise from the basement to the third floor, while three kids’ bedrooms would be upstairs on one side of the home.

‘I thought it would be really, really special to just build my dream home,’ Khloé told her pals.

‘This is the first home that you’re building from the ground up,’ Malika observed. ‘I just got full chills. I can see it already. I really can.’

Later, hanging out with Tristan Thompson, 30, and friend Savas Oguz, Khloé called selling her old home ‘bittersweet.’

Savas asked her why she’d invested so much in it if she planned to leave, and Khloé offered, ‘It’s not feasible for me anymore. What if I have another baby?’

She’d planned to wait until the new pad was done to sell it, but got a good offer and had to be out in a few weeks.

Tristan walked around her home taking pictures so he could replicate the style in his own place, even down to the groceries he planned to Instacart.

‘I got the play, I got the recipe,’ he told the cameras, as he snapped the fresh flowers he sent Khloé weekly. ‘I mean, just make her happy.’

Before long, Khloé found a rental and packed up the rest of her home, saying a sad goodbye.

‘I am just praying that my next house will have more and better memories,’ she said.

When she went over to Tristan’s house, she discovered that he had purchased the candles and food she liked, and imitated a dozen other things she had at her house.

‘Are you on my Pinterest board?’ Khloé asked suspiciously as she spotted her actual Baccarat glasses in his cabinet, and outdoor lights hung like those at her home.

‘This house is beautiful,’ she told the cameras. ‘But that’s because so much of it is literally just replicas from things I’ve done in the past.’

Tristan admitted his plan to Kim Kardashian, 40, saying he wanted to make Khloé comfortable.

‘That’s the cutest thing ever,’ Kim observed. ‘How does she not see that?’

When she had another moment with Tristan, Khloé thanked him for being so ‘sweet and thoughtful,’ calling what he’d done ‘a huge, selfless gesture.’

‘It’s a very inviting energy,’ she said of his space.

That put it at great contrast to the Malibu rental digs she was sharing with her sisters and mom, where negative energy seemed to abound.

Khloé first noted that Kris seemed unusually put-out by the construction going on next door, and urged her to try to let go of her annoyance.

After that, she got dragged into a disagreement between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, 42.

Kim was upset that Kourtney had recently been rude to her nanny when they were traveling together, and made the woman cry.

‘She said that she felt so degraded by you and that you started yelling at her, and you said, ‘Keep your voice down,’ Kim recalled.

‘Oh my God, she’s lying,’ Kourtney replied. 

‘She said that the nanny told her son Reign, six, that he would ‘go to jail’ if he kept talking in the car, and Reign had then asked her to confront the woman.

Kourtney explained that Reign often looked for her to support him when he felt wronged. 

Kim said the nanny wanted Kourtney to speak to her privately, not yell at a restaurant.

‘There’s not even one percent that I yelled,’ Kourtney protested, pointing out that even her pastor friend Chad was appalled by things the nanny said.

‘She’s the one that raised her voice, which is why I said, ‘F***, lower your voice,’ Kourtney clarified.

The Poosh founder added that she didn’t care if Kim kept the nanny but she’d never hire such a person, especially after the woman told Reign, ‘Boy you’re a liar.’

‘She definitely shouldn’t say that,’ Kim agreed, taken aback.

‘Keep her,’ Kourtney said. ‘She won’t ever be around my kids.’

‘Kourtney, you can’t even keep a nanny,’ Kim retorted.

Kourtney got fed up and called out, ‘Kim, shut the f*** up, honestly,’ before storming out.

She was angered by what she called her sister’s ‘random lies’ about her life.

‘You keep projecting your bulls*** onto me,’ Kourtney threw back as she walked away. ‘Hey Kim, look in the mirror.’

‘I do, every five minutes,’ Kim taunted.

Khloé was tired of the ‘heavy, disgusting energy’ pervading the house and saw that Kourtney was crying over Kim’s ‘negativity.’

‘It’s not the energy I need to be around,’ the eldest sister emphasized.

When she spoke to Kim again some days later, Kourtney asked ‘Are you just spewing out bulls*** to p*** me off?’

Kim admitted she had intentionally been mean, and all of the sisters recognized that they needed to stop bashing each other.

Kim said she’d inherited her negativity from Kourtney, who said she learned it from Kris.

All of them vowed to stop and think about how they spoke to each other.

Determined not to repeat old patterns, Kourtney devised a ‘negativity jar’ in which everyone would put money when they made a negative comment.

They would affix their name to whatever bill they dropped in the jar, and at the end the person who’d contributed the least would win the pot.

When she heard of the plan, Kris quickly signed on, too.

‘I don’t want to be responsible for teaching you guys to be negative,’ she shared. ‘I don’t want to pass it on to my grandchildren.’

It seemed everyone was thinking about the lessons those kids learned as they grew up.

Kim and Scott Disick, 37, were talking at her home when her daughter North West, seven, ran through screaming ‘rock and roll!’

‘They’re just trying to be funny and run through the show,’ Kim told Scott, admitting that North had only seen clips of KUWTK on TikTok.

She had a special penchant for a TikTok favorite: Kim’s crying scene from a Bora Bora trip.

‘She’ll come in and go, ‘Mom, I lost my earrings!’ Kim told Scott, as a shot of her saying ‘My earring’s gone! Oh my God, I’m gonna cry—my diamond earring!’ was shown.

Scott wondered when they’d need to sit the kids down and talk about all they’d filmed.

‘I don’t really want to explain who Kris Humphries is,’ Kim said, referring to the NBA star she’d been married to for 72 days in 2011.

‘But that is your life, that is your past, and at some point, they’re gonna be interested in seeing everything,’ Scott noted. ‘They’re either going to do it without us or with us.’

‘I’d rather do it with,’ Kim admitted. ‘But I’m just not ready for the kids to see it yet.’

In a confessional, she said that her brood had lately been asking to watch KUWTK but she was hesitant, worried she’d ‘have to explain a lot.’

‘Honestly, the only person that did bad s*** on the show was me,’ Scott reminded her.

Kim pointed out that Scott’s son Mason Disick, 11, seemed unaffected by the show ending.

‘Must be crazy to be a kid and not even really realize you’re on the Truman Show,’ Scott opined: ‘Your whole life’s been filmed and we’ve been putting it on TV.’

‘Could you imagine if we named one of our kids Truman?’ Kim wondered, quickly remembering that Khloé’s three-year-old daughter was named True.

The Kardashians and Scott planned a list of places from their past to show the kids: Kim’s first Beverly Hills home, the family’s DASH stores, the condo in which Mason had been born.

All of them revisited the condo in which Scott and Kourtney started their ‘love story’ (as Scott called it), and saw the stairs that an angry Kourtney once tossed Scott’s clothes over.

The kids were uninterested, so Scott made a highlight reel of their KUWTK appearances instead.

He and the Kardashian sisters were moved to tears watching the birth of the children and all the other special moments they’d shared on the show.

‘Guys that was a little peek inside the show and maybe in a couple of years we’ll show you more,’ Scott told the kids.
