Kim Kardashian gives fans a peek at son Psalm’s lavish 2nd birthday party

Kim Kardashian recently threw a lavish party for her youngest son Psalm in celebration of his second birthday on May 9.

And the 40-year-old KUWTK gave fans a peek at the toddler’s birthday festivities in a series of snapshots uploaded to Instagram on Thursday.

Kardashian’s estranged husband and baby daddy Kanye West was not featured in any of the jovial party photos.

Kim and Kanye, who confirmed they would be divorcing after six years on marriage in February, share Psalm, two, Chicago, three, Saint, five, and North, seven.

Despite the ongoing divorce battle, the SKIMS CEO appeared to be in a jovial mood as she celebrated her son’s second birthday.

‘Psalm turned 2!’ captioned Kardashian, who boasts 222million followers on the platform.

The first photo in Kim’s 10 shot slideshow showed her cradling Psalm in one arm as they shared a sweet kiss in front of a yellow Excavator.

Still in front of the piece of heavy duty construction equipment, Kim wrangled all four of her children together for a photo.

Another showed Kardashian helping Psalm hit a piñata shaped like the number two.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star looked casual, yet chic in a black tank top bodysuit that she paired with some black joggers and a pair of sneakers.

Her raven, shoulder-length hair was parted down the middle and styled into sleek strands, while her already sculpted features were further accentuated with a generous amount of makeup.

Psalm’s construction-themed shindig featured a large sandbox filled with miniature piece of building equipment, large inflatable bumper balls for the kids to get inside and push around, and various other set-ups covered in bright yellow balloon arrangements.

One display had Psalm’s named spelled out on signs stuck into four orange cones placed next to an excavator. 

Throughout his birthday party, which took place the day before his actual birthdate, Psalm went from donning a black tee with red track pants to commanding attention in a bright orange vest and camouflage pants. 

At one section of Kim’s sprawling Calabasas property, there was an inflatable obstacle course for the kids in attendance to play on.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Kardashian provided a close up image of Psalm’s birthday cake.

Other Instagram Story photos showed off the various seating arrangements in Kim’s backyard.

There was also a place for guests to grab a hard hat ‘for safety,’ before heading off to the custom slime making station. 

Those wanting to concoct their own slim could choose between various scents and colors. 

Based on Kim’s photos, Kanye appeared to be missing from the action.

The former couple, who originally wed in 2014, confirmed earlier this years that they would be calling it quits. 

In her February 19 court documents, the reality star cited irreconcilable differences for the split, noting that they have a prenuptial agreement in place.

The television personality prepares to co-parent their four children, North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two, while hashing out custody arrangements in court.

Kim’s divorce documents were filed by Laura Wasser and reportedly don’t list a date of separation, instead claiming the date is ‘to be determined’.

It was later reported that the couple are only communicating through security after Kanye changed his number in his cut-off of Kim.

Kardashian’s family-friendly Instagram posts on Thursday also comes amid the latest drama between Kourtney’s beau Travis Barker and his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, a former Playboy model.

The SKIMS founder was accused of breaking up Barker’s marriage to Moakler when she was ‘caught having an affair’ with the rocker in the Noughties.

Travis’ ex-wife Shanna accused her of having an affair with her husband.

Shanna, 46, split from Travis, 45, in 2006 and after a brief reconciliation they finalized their divorce in 2008.

Now Shanna claims it was her husband’s infidelity that prompted her to sign the papers, telling Us Weekly: ‘I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair.’

Shanna added that she ‘saw text messages’ between the pair and alleged the ‘affair’ took place before Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered in 2007.

Travis famously filed for divorce from Shanna in 2006, after just two years of marriage, after claiming that she had been unfaithful towards him.

Shanna claimed mutual friends of the trio told her of the alleged affair, stating ‘they sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.’

According to Shanna’s timeline, Kim was still working alongside Paris Hilton as her ‘closet organizer’ when she first came in contact with Travis.

She said: ‘[Travis] had already had an affair with Paris Hilton. And… at the time Kim was Paris’ closet organizer, they were best friends. And he started using [Kim] as a model for [his clothing company], Famous Stars and Straps’.

She added that she had asked her former husband to ‘not to use’ Kim as a model due to her direct ties to Paris, and that she and Travis had been ‘working on our marriage and trying to heal through that affair’ but he continued to work with Kim despite her wishes.

Shanna continued: ‘Then I received all the text messages and the other third parties kind of let me know. It’s something I was well aware of.’ 

Travis previously referenced his infatuation with Kim in his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums.

He referred to Kim as Paris’ ‘closet girl’, as he discussed their interactions in the early Noughties. He penned: ‘I kept on secretly checking out Kim, telling Lil Chris, “I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f***ing hot”‘.

Despite finding Kim attractive, Travis wrote that he ‘wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her’ and that he ‘never touched’ the reality star, even after enjoying a few one-on-one meals together.

Yet Shanna insisted to Us Weekly that Travis ‘100 percent’ lied in his memoir about ‘never’ hooking up with Kim.

DailyMail.com has contacted Kim and Travis’ representatives for comment. 

Although Shanna is certain something romantic occurred between the pair, a source close to the Kardashian clan told Page Six on Tuesday that ‘Travis and Kim have never had a romantic relationship.’

The insider stressed that Kim and Travis ‘were friends who met through Paris Hilton and that is also how Kourtney and Travis were introduced.’

Claims that Kim had an affair with Travis are not new, with Aubrey O’Day posting about the alleged infidelity back in July 2020.
