Kourtney Kardashian talks Addison Rae friendship revealing they went night swimming

Their unusual friendship famously blossomed at the height of the pandemic last year, with Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae finding themselves inseparable as the world shut down around them, despite a 22-year age-gap.

Now, Kourtney, 42, and her 20-year-old TikTok star BFF are revealing what their relationship was like during lockdown, on Addison’s Spotify podcast That Was Fun? With Addison & Sheri

Chatting to each other in Zoom, though both in Los Angeles, the pair spoke about their equal love of both fitness and their guilty food pleasures, with Kourtney explaining how she put on 10lbs in weight during the pandemic.

Missing each other: Addison Rae told Kourtney she misses the time they spent with one another in lockdown, on her podcast That Was Fun? With Addison & Sheri

‘We were like mermaids’: Kourtney Kardashian, 42, talks night swimming under a full moon with BFF Addison Rae, 20, and putting on 10lbs eating eight cookies a day in a new Spotify podcast

‘I feel like all we did, you and I, was eat cakes, Little House Confections cakes [an upscale LA cake shop], and about eight chocolate chip cookies a day,’ Kourtney said about her time spent with Addison, as they both laughed.

‘We ate so much! Wish was amazing and I loved that time. But I feel like physically even though we weren’t in such good shape, and we did so many crazy workouts, I was about 10lbs heavier,’ Kourtney confessed.

‘And when we went to New York for my birthday, and we ate pasta so much, that was the best,’ Addison said, with Kourtney pining for more of their favorite Italian restaurant, saying: ‘I would do anything right now for Carbone.’

'I feel like friendships can range from any age, and I feel like everyone can relate to people in different ways,' Addison previously explained. 'Kourtney and I just happen to have a great friendship, which is really fun. She's been a great person to have in my life'

The pair also revealed how they bonded over spending time night swimming together under the full moon, with Kourtney reminding: ‘We were like mermaids.’

Addison smiled as she fondly remembered that time, saying: ‘I was in my most tranquil state [with you]. We were like drinking [avocado] shakes, and swimming at night.’

‘We need that back,’ Kourtney responded, who is now busy in her new relationship with former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.

Addison dished more on their friendship, saying she always goes to her pal Kourtney for advice, especially now she has found herself more in the public eye.

Unlikely pals: Last year, Kourtney spoke up in defense of their friendship, after commenters criticized a series of sexy shots of them in bikinis, writing things like 'she's 41 and she's hanging around with 19 year olds in swimming pools' and 'this friendship still weirds me tf out'

Asking Kourtney how she balances what she keeps public and what she keeps private, the KUWTK star revealed how she coached Addison about holding things back.

‘I remember with you, you are so kind to everyone, talking to photographers and me saying you don’t have to answer back… because then it gets to the point, when it’s maybe a challenging time in your life, and they feel like they can ask you questions on those moments,’ Kourtney said.

She added: ‘I was just like, “You don’t have to answer these people you don’t really know.”

However, Kourtney admitted that Addison also taught her a few things as well. After spending her life being followed by cameras on her reality show, it seemed Addison reminded Kourtney that it still pays to be nice to people.

‘One thing I did learn from you, was just, the importance of not thinking that every single person is out to get you, and just being kind,’ Kourtney said.

Addison chimed in saying: ‘Not everyone is malicious.’
