Game Of Thrones’ Hafthor Bjornsson is DROPPED during an exhibition match

Game Of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson was dropped during an exhibition boxing match on Friday as he prepares for his bout against Eddie Hall in September.

The strongman, 32, was facing Simon Valilly in the ring and was rocked badly in the second round of their fight, when his opponent hit him with a counter left.

Hafthor, who played Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane on the HBO fantasy series, was dropped to the floor in the third round when Valilly landed a flush, but he quickly returned to his feet.

The Game Of Thrones actor finished strongly in the fourth round, but their match was ultimately ruled a draw.

Hafthor is set to fight Eddie later this year, and after his match against Valilly he said: ‘Eddie Hall, you better be training your a** off. Because I’m coming for you, and I’m knocking you out – you’re going down.’

Earlier this month, Hafthor revealed he has lost a staggering seven stone in order to concentrate on a boxing career.

He took to Instagram on Monday to document his fitness journey, and showed off his rippling abs as he posed shirtless and wrote: ‘From 205kg (32st 3lbs) to 155kg (24st 4lbs). Swipe to see the difference.’

The actor has lost a whopping 7st 8lbs, after slimming down ahead ahead of his first boxing match. 

And Hafþór flaunted his chiselled tattooed physique in a series of snaps on his Instagram page. 

Fans soon flooded the comment section, applauding the GoT star for his impressive weight-loss. One wrote: ‘From Mountain to Rock’, while another follower chimed: ‘Phenomenal’.

The Mountain retired from the Iceland’s Strongest Man competition last November after winning it for the 10th consecutive year.

And Hafþór has been busy after he welcomed his son Stormur Magni with his wife Kelsey Henson, 30, in September last year. 

Shortly after the birth the Strongman champ wrote: ‘He is perfect & he’s super excited to meet his sister Theresa Líf ‘.

Björnsson announced his wife Kelsey’s pregnancy last April, alongside photos from their gender reveal party.

The couple stood with a black balloon bursting with blue confetti indicating that they’re expecting a baby boy.

The 6ft9 Björnsson beamed with anticipation as he poked the balloon held by his 5ft2 spouse.

In the series of photos taken amid lockdown in Björnsson’s native Iceland, he pierced a balloon held by Kelsey, extending his massive arms in celebration as the confetti cascaded down. 

The couple, who tied the knot in October of 2018 in Iceland, are expecting their first child together. He has his daughter Theresa from a previous relationship.  

Björnsson and Henson celebrated the imminent arrival of their son in early August at a sweet baby shower full of gifts and fun games.
