‘I’ve never done this before’: Lord Alan Sugar leaves team stunned during Celebrity Apprentice first

He’s the fearsome CEO on Celebrity Apprentice who is a stickler for rules.

But Lord Alan Sugar left the losing team, Fun-Raisers, on Monday’s episode absolutely stunned when he chose to save them all from elimination.

‘This goes against my principle. You’re all off scot free!’ the British billionaire, 74, told Martha Kalifatidis, Shaynna Blaze, Josh Gibson, Camilla Franks and Michael Wipfli.

Lord Sugar decided to keep the contestants free from elimination for at least another episode, but promised a double firing on Tuesday night.

The businessman admitted that he couldn’t fathom the idea of sending someone home from the losing team, having been impressed with their theatrical performance to promote a new barbecue sauce-flavoured Boost Juice smoothie.

Scratching his head, Lord Sugar told the Fun-Raisers: ‘I’ve never done this ever, ever before. It’s difficult for me to actually chastise a team that has actually put on a good event.

‘The difference between winning and losing was like an ant’s whisker. So we find ourself in this dilemma,’ he continued.

‘This goes against my principle. You’re all off scot free!’ he announced to the group, as they erupted in cheers and squeals.

Referring to the winning group, Team Momentum, Lord Sugar said they would think he’s ‘gone bloody soft’.

Lucky: Radio host Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli (pictured), who was accused of producing a poor script for their theatrical performance, also could not hide his relief at being saved
