Madonna models a pink Gucci set as she shows off inspiring tote bag she and son David designed to support a children’s center in Kenya

She is known for her music as much as her philanthropic endeavors, with much of her $850 million net worth aiding various organizations.  

And Madonna, 62, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she and her son David Banda, 15, had hand designed tote bags to support Art For Education, with proceeds going to the Chema Vision Children’s center in Nairobi, Kenya. 

The famed singer modeled a pink Gucci set while showing off a canvas bag covered in artful quotes with an additional picture of author James Baldwin drawn by her son.

The Vogue singer threw up a peace sign while wearing a very colorful outfit that included a leather trimmed pink Gucci top with matching shorts. 

And she slipped fishnets underneath the already edgy ensemble, continuing to accessorize with various statement rings and stacks of gold and beaded bracelets. 

Madonna looked picture perfect as she softly smiled with winged eyeliner and freshly straightened platinum locks, showing off a famous quote from Baldwin about love.  

‘We designed these bags to support Art For Education. David Drew James Baldwin’s Face and I wrote one of his quotes!! All proceeds will be donated to the Chema Vision Children’s center in Nairobi, Kenya. Please support,’ she captioned the series.

In the second snap David rocked an artful crew neck and white shorts with a black baseball cap as he held up the back of the bag which featured a portrait of the famed American novelist and activist. 

Just this week she shared a video of David strutting around the family mansion in a couture garment as she gushed ‘Confidence is everything.’ 

‘I low-key like wearing this – it’s so freeing,’ he told the camera as he worked his angles in the silky frock.   

She adopted him from Malawi in 2006 when he was just 13-months old, later returning to the country two more times to adopt daughter Chifundo ‘Mercy,’ 15, and twin girls Estere and Stella, eight.

Madonna also founded a non-profit there called Raising Malawi to provide poverty relief for the country’s orphans. Through the organization she established an institute for pediatric surgery and intensive care and built 14 schools in rural areas.   

In a 2019 interview, Madonna told Vogue UK, that she feels that out of all her children — adopted and not — she and David have ‘the most in common.’ 

‘What he has more than anything is focus and determination,’ Madonna told the publication. ‘I’m pretty sure he got it from me. He’s the one I have the most in common with. I feel like he gets me; he has more of my DNA than any of my children so far.’  

She also has two biological children: Lourdes Leon, 24, and Rocco, 20, who she shares with ex Guy Ritchie.
