Loose Women: Charlene White left at wits’ end as Linda Robson and Carol McGiffin swear live on air

Loose Women’s Charlene White is left at her wits’ end as co-hosts Linda Robson and Carol McGiffin swear live on air… followed by ANOTHER explicit blunder from guest Nicola Wheeler

It was expletive after expletive on Monday’s Loose Women.

Anchoring the show, presenter Charlene White was left at her wits’ end after co-host Linda Robson dropped a clanger a few minutes into the live broadcast, followed by another blunder from their first guest, actress Nicola Wheeler.

This was then followed by a third swear word from fellow panelist Carol McGiffin.

Linda’s slip-up happened as the panel – which also featured Jane Moore – were discussing the news that the UK’s chief child protection officer has backed primary schools asking girls as young as four to wear ‘modesty shorts’ under their skirts.

While the consensus among the panel was that it seemed a tad extreme, Linda chimed in: ‘Can I just say, my 30 year old daughter needs some of those shorts!

‘I was away with her for the weekend in Clapton, and me and the other nanny, Nanny Brenda, couldn’t believe how many times she bent over to pick up something or to do one of the kids’ shoelaces up and there was a total eclipse.

‘The cheeks of her a**e – her bottom – you could see…’ Linda exclaimed, suddenly realising that she’d dropped a swear word during the daytime show.

Putting her head in her hands Linda squirmed, ‘sorry everyone,’ as Charlene tried to hide her shock.

‘Yes, naughty word there Linda!’ Charlene said.

‘I apologise everybody!’ Linda added, with Charlene thanking her for saying sorry.

But things got worse when Emmerdale actress Nicola appeared via Zoom to talk about her character, also called Nicola.

Asked if it gets confusing playing a role with the same name as her’s, she explained that the worst part is wondering whether fans are talking to her about her as an actress or the character she plays, Nicola King.

‘I think, is it me, or is it her they’re talking about. If they say the word b***h then it’s me!’ she joked.

This left Charlene beside herself again. ‘Oh Nicola you can’t say that! What is with everyone today?’ she cried.

Nicola tried to retract the slur, claiming she meant it in the context of a female dog.

‘I’m going to apologise for Nicola’s language. Ladies – I know it’s Monday but let’s get our heads in the game!’ Charlene said.

Later in the show, while discussing what TV shows they enjoy watching, Carol began talking about ‘c**p TV’.

‘Is that word allowed?’ she asked afterwards, to which a defeated Charlene replied: ‘Who knows at this point. I’m going to apologise anyway!’

Loose Women airs on ITV from 12:30PM on weekdays.
