Princess Eugenie has shared an adorable video of son August cuddling a ‘fluffy shark’ to celebrate World Oceans Day.

The proud mother, 31, based at Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, took to Instagram today to reveal the clip, in which her four-month-old can be heard gurgling happily to himself while sitting in his baby bouncer.

Eugenie captioned the videos, writing: ‘It’s World Oceans Day today. A day to celebrate our magnificent oceans and all the creatures in it.’ 

She added: ‘A day to raise awareness for something so integral to all our lives… and a day to snuggle with fluffy sharks.’

The Queen’s granddaughter also posted about her trip to a London exhibition today, explaining that she had visited the Forest for Change at Somerset House – which features 400 trees added to the grounds – to discuss World Oceans Day.

Taking to her social media account, she wrote: ‘Today I went to visit the Forest for Change at Somerset House with the wonderful team at @theglobalgoals.⁣

‘In the middle of this magnificent forest are the @unitednations 17 Global Goals as pillars. Today we were celebrating goal 14: Life Below Water on World Oceans Day. ⁣

‘I listened to some incredible people all doing remarkable things to help protect our oceans and be a force of change for them and the creatures in it. ⁣

‘Thank you @theglobalgoals for bringing us together to talk about the ocean and for talking to me about my new role as a @bluemarinefoundation ambassador.⁣’

Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank on 9 February at the Portland Hospital in London.

Since his birth, the Duke of York’s daughter has been filling her Instagram account with updates about her baby boy.  

In May, Eugenie paid a sweet tribute to her husband Jack as he celebrated his 35th birthday, by releasing adorable pictures of the father-of-one with their son August.

Posting on Instagram, she shared a selection of photographs showing Jack holding their baby boy as well as exploring the great outdoors on a sunny afternoon.

The mother-of-one, who married Jack in 2018, gushed in the caption of her post saying: ‘You are exceptional.. Happy Birthday my love’

Yesterday, the mother-of-one shared a sweet message of congratulations to her ‘dear cousins’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the birth of their daughter Lilibet Diana

Eugenie shared an Instagram post in honour of Lilibet hours after the news of her birth was made public. 

The princess, who enjoys a close relationship with Harry and Meghan, shared the Sussexes’ black and white pregnancy announcement photo with the message: ‘Congratulations dear cousins. We couldn’t be happier for you all.’ 

It came after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall shared their own social media posts.
