Triple M radio host and former Wallaby Greg ‘Marto’ Martin sells five-bedroom ‘party home’ complete with rugby goalposts for $3.17million


Triple M Brisbane radio host and former rugby union fullback Greg ‘Marto’ Martin has sold his home of 24 years at auction for $3.17million.

The fully restored, five-bedroom Queenslander in Brisbane’s Newmarket was famous for being a ‘party house’ and even has a set of rugby goalposts in the backyard.

The property sold to a local family, marketing agent Alistair Macmillan of Ray White Wilston told realestate.com.au on Tuesday.

The two-storey hilltop home sits on a huge 1,346-square-metre block.

It’s also conveniently located just five kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD.

Greg has a special connection to the home, having spent two decades personally renovating it and raising his two children there.

‘This is the only home they’ve known,’ he said of his kids, both of whom are now in their early twenties.

The radio presenter and his wife, Cath, share two children together, daughter Hilary, 22, and son Harry, 21.

Greg earned nine Wallabies caps in 1989 and 1990.

In addition to hosting The Big Breakfast with Margaux Parker, he has also served as a commentator for Fox Sports Rugby Union.
