‘How exciting that I’ll be embarking on the search to find ‘my one’ in the next couple of weeks,’ she began in the caption.

The reality TV star told her followers that she was ‘so overwhelmed’ and ‘proud’ of the positive response to her being the Bachelorette.

She wrote: ‘I’ve addressed in multiple interviews the immense pressure I feel to protect the communities I am apart of and represent them with so much pride and integrity.

‘I know we’ve not always got it right as society in representing these minority groups, but this is why I’m here,’ she said.

Brooke then directed her message to younger people from different backgrounds and identities – ‘Indigenous, people of colour and/or as part of the LGBTQIA+ community’ – that look up her.

‘I feel you, I see you and I can’t wait for you to be on this journey with me. Wish me luck, LOVE B,’ she concluded.
