Sunday Brunch theme song gets an X-Rated remix as a rude subtitles gaff leaves viewers laughing

‘When Teletext goes wrong!’ Sunday Brunch fans are left in hysterics after a subtitles blunder gives the theme song a VERY rude remix

Sunday Brunch fans were left laughing this weekend when a subtitles gaff put an X-Rated spin on the show’s theme song.

Traditionally, the show’s opening music goes: ‘The sun comes up. I fill my cup. I’m waking up to Sunday Brunch.’

But this week, viewers using Teletext or subtitles read: ‘The sun comes up. I feel my c**k. I’m waking up to Sunday Brunch.’

Another added: ‘The subtitles to the theme tune mix first thing! On a Sunday morning!

‘Even I was shocked! Someone havin a laugh? [sic],’ they questioned.

And the show is no stranger to the occasional blunder.

Last year, Sunday Brunch’s long-term presenter Tim Lovejoy, 53, sent fans into hysterics when he fell over and crashed to the ground live on TV.

The presenter confirmed he was left unharmed after the hilarious fall, which left him slamming to the ground while he introduced himself at the beginning of the episode.

Tim attempted to dance during the introductions just moments into the episode, but stumbled backwards, tumbling to the floor.

Co-host Simon Rimmer, 58, instantly let out a shocked shout before bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

He then cried, ‘I can’t even help you up!’ due to ongoing social distancing rules in the studio.

Tim eventually hauled himself up on to his knees while trying to carry on with the show.
