Ruth Langsford is unimpressed after learning she made list of ‘unlikely celebrity crushes;

Ruth Langsford was less than impressed when she discovered she had made it onto a list of ‘Unlikely celebrity crushes’.

The TV presenter, 61, didn’t look too pleased on Tuesday’s Loose Women when fellow panellist Coleen Noleen told her she was voted into the top 10 of surprising celebrity crushes in a new poll by Buzz Bingo.

Ruth said: ‘Am I? Of a celebrity crushes? I’ve never been on those lists. Unlikely? Seriously, unlikely? rude!’

Coleen reckoned Ruth should take her inclusion as a compliment, saying: ‘I’m laughing now but when I saw it I was actually jealous. I don’t even get on the list of unlikely crushes so every credit.’

Ruth asked: ‘What does unlikely mean?

Coleen replied ‘I don’t know, I suppose unlikely that someone would have a crush on you.’

The other co-hosts laughed as Frankie Bridge said: ‘That’s so mean!’

Ruth finished in 10th place with 2 per cent of the vote while Denise Welch was eighth with five per cent.

It comes after the news that Ruth and husband Eamonn Holmes will return to This Morning to co-host for seven weeks from July when Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby take their summer break.

Eamonn and Ruth have filled in for main hosts Phillip and Holly since their departure, but they didn’t appear on the show during the recent half-term.

The pair co-hosted the show in April, and Eamonn took the opportunity to tell viewers he is going to be a grandfather for the first time.

The veteran presenter said: ‘Declan is my eldest boy, he’s 32, and Jenny is his beloved wife. They have just announced that I, together with Valerie and Robin, Jenny’s mum and dad, and Gabrielle, Declan’s mummy, we’re all going to be grandparents.

‘It’s very good. We’re very happy.’

Ruth, who is Declan’s step-mother, added: ‘Declan and Jenny – we’re so, so happy for you. Lots of love to you.’

She sweetly added: ‘They’re going to be the most wonderful parents.’

It was revealed on November 30 that Ruth and Eamonn, who fill in for Holly and Phillip on Fridays, had been cut from their weekly slot to be replaced with Alison and Dermot.

The two stars both sent out an identical statement which read: ‘It’s a changing of the guard on Fridays from January. We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you’ve made us over the years.

‘Have a Ball you two!… ‘It’s not Goodbye from us, it’s simply Au Revoir until the next half term.’

Breaking her silence on the shake-up following weeks of speculation, Alison, said in a statement: ‘I never dreamt that when I first joined This Morning – initially for a few months – that I would still be there 19 years later.

‘I genuinely care about the show and the viewers who watch, so it’s a huge privilege and honour to be hosting a show I adore so much. I’m just really excited to be doing even more of what I love alongside the lovely Dermot.’

Sharing his own statement, co-host Dermot said: ‘I’m deeply thrilled and honoured to be joining the This Morning team next year. We have huge shoes to fill and we are well aware what a privilege it is to be stepping into them.

‘Above all, we want to have fun and for you to be able to kick your weekend off with a smile, especially given the year we’ve all had.

‘So I’m delighted to be co-hosting with the living embodiment of sunshine on a rainy day. I can’t wait to get started.’
