Jeff Lewis and ex Gage Edward come together to celebrate daughter Monroe’s preschool graduation

Jeff Lewis and ex Gage Edward looked like quite the happy co-parents in a rare new family Instagram with daughter Monroe.

The former couple seemed to be on good terms after finally agreeing to splitting custody of their daughter 50/50 following a lengthy and ‘contentious’ legal battle.

But the conflict appeared to be behind them as they smiled while their four-year-old proudly showed off her preschool diploma.

Marking the milestone, Flipping Out star Jeff, 51, captioned the shot: ‘Congrats to the graduate. The hardest years are behind you.’

Both dads – who split in February 2019 after being together for 10 years – looked dapper in the shot,

Flanking their pride and joy, Edward went with a crisp white shirt and navy slacks while Lewis looked laid back in designer jeans, a micro-dot button-up and a tan jacket.

But it was little Monroe who stole the show rocking a lovely green dress with pink flowers and a full skirt fit for a princess.

A pearl necklace and matching bracelet made it clear that the young lady was already a budding fashionista.

Last month Jeff announced that the pair had finally come to a custody agreement over their little girl after 26 months of negotiations.

Sharing the news on his show Jeff Lewis Live he said, ‘I think I wrote my last check to my attorney. I think that was it, I think I’m done. Which feels really good.’

Now the exes are at peace as they co-parent, said Lewis: ‘We’ve been getting along really, really well, we’ve been spending a lot of time with her, together.

‘It’s been good, she’s really happy. She’s pretty much giddy when we’re together.’

Their agreement is 50/50 physical and legal custody. There will also be a new schedule for visits that will kick off in June.

‘I have some wonderful news,’ Lewis shared on his show. ‘After 26 months [of negotiations] with Gage Edward Fredenburg — most of it was contentious I would say — we have settled our custody agreement,’ Lewis added.

‘His lawsuit against me has dropped. My lawsuit against him has been dropped. And we have come to an agreement about custody.’

And he is comfortable with the arrangement.

‘I’m happy with the schedule. Well, I’m okay with the schedule, I think it’s going to be good for her,’ he said.

‘So it’s going to switch, because we’ve been doing every other day, and now it’s going to be two days over there, two days at my house. And then in order to get the 50/50 we had to do like every other Friday.’

And he will get the little girl every Saturday: ‘When I’m doing the TV show and the radio show I’m going to be really busy during the week, so it’s nice to know that I’ll have Saturday.’

All good: ‘His lawsuit against me has dropped. My lawsuit against him has been dropped. And we have come to an agreement about custody,’ said Lewis

No more legal hassle: The announcement was made by Lewis, 51, on his show Jeff Lewis Live on Wednesday as he said, 'I think I wrote my last check to my attorney. I think that was it, I think I'm done. Which feels really good.' Seen in 2018 in NYC

Edward is ‘very happy with the resolution,’ according to People.

‘This is a big relief,’ the source said. ‘He and Jeff are co-parenting very well together, and Gage is looking forward to putting this conflict behind them.’

In February Edward said he and Jeff had started to ‘heal.’

At the moment Jeff seems to be single.  In January, Lewis revealed he has broken up with boyfriend Scott Anderson. The real estate speculator and designer revealed on his Sirius XM program that they have split for the fourth time, seemingly for good.

Lewis explained that while he would typically try to fix what’s broken right away, he simply didn’t have the ‘energy’ to fight for the relationship anymore.

He began that the break-up happened while Anderson was waiting for him to finish up some work.

‘He was like, “Can I talk to you?” I sat down and he’s like, “I love you and I’m in love with you but I can’t commit to this relationship,”‘ said Lewis, with a laugh.

‘Then it was followed by a lot of irrational, unorganized thoughts. Almost like he was trying to justify things, but it was very irrational,’ Lewis added.

Among these ‘irrational, unorganized thoughts’ were Lewis was working too much, plus, ‘you never go on vacation, your house is so busy, it’s like communal living.’

Lewis responded, ‘Well, we’re in a pandemic, we can’t really vacation right now and even if we weren’t in a pandemic, I just had 2 major surgeries in the last 3.5 months. I’m not really doing that.’

Other complaints were that Lewis’ life was ‘too big,’ and while Lewis typically would try to fix everything right away, he didn’t do that this time. ‘Normally, I jump in, ‘Let’s talk about this, let’s go to therapy.” I have to say, I’m so exhausted from my own stuff I was like, “Okay, I understand,”‘ Lewis said.

Lewis and Anderson started dating in March 2019, just after Lewis had split with Gage. The couple’s first split happened in June 2019, but they got back together and went to couple’s counseling. Their second split happened in May 2020, before they reconciled and split again in September 2020 before their fourth and seemingly final split on Thursday.

Lewis admitted that in previous split he, ‘reacted badly’ and at times he ‘made things worse,’ though that was not the case this time.
