Kaia Gerber rocks a striped sweater with leggings on an afternoon smoothie run in Los Angeles

She burst onto the modeling scene at a young age thanks to her famous family.

And Kaia Gerber kept a low profile as she stepped out for a smoothie run in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old supermodel turned an ordinary outfit into a chic ensemble with the help of her trusty sage green Ava Celine purse.

The daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber rocked a black-and-beige striped sweater with ribbed sleeves and a matching hem.

She sported long black leggings with tall black socks and slipped on a comfortable pair of brown leather Birkenstock Boston clogs.

Her dark brown hair was parted down the middle and worn with loose curls, and she kept a pair of oversized shades over her eyes. 

She told Vogue magazine that she lost out on valuable ‘life experiences’ growing up in Malibu as the daughter of legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford and tequila mogul Rande Gerber.  

 ‘I found myself in situations where I was, like, I actually don’t have the life experience that I need to handle this,’ she said. 

‘It could be something as small as knowing how to take the bus from the flight to the terminal. Or, I remember, when I started travelling alone, in Paris, my driver had to check me into my hotel room — I couldn’t even do it on my own.’ 

Kaia — who began her career at 13 and has walked the runway for designers such as Prada, Chanel, Fendi and Givenchy — said that she eventually learned the importance of asking others for help in addition to how to express herself. 

‘I started so young that people weren’t expecting me to have an opinion about things, and I was fine with that, because I didn’t feel comfortable enough in who I was,’ she said.

‘But when I got a little older, I started to wait for someone, especially in interviews, to ask me something other than, “What are three items in your purse?” I was like, “You’re not asking Adam Driver that, right?” I was waiting to be invited to speak. Eventually, I invited myself. And that was a really freeing feeling.’   

Kaia confirmed her status with The Kissing Booth star on Instagram in October and has the seal of approval from mom and dad.

An insider told People magazine: ‘Jacob is very sweet to Kaia. They are always very loving and cute together. It’s obvious that Cindy and Rande approve of Jacob too. They spend a lot of time together.’

The source also noted Jacob — who hails from Australia — has ’embraced Kaia’s Malibu life and seems to love it as much as she does.’
