Kylie Jenner says her family have become her ‘permanent friends’

She jettisoned her former friend Jordyn Woods after her sister Khloé Kardashian’s partner Tristan Thompson made out with her at a party in February of 2019.

But Kylie Jenner said she came to regard her family as her ‘permanent friends’ when she summed up what she had learned after 14 years on the air during Sunday night’s second part of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion.

The 23-year-old reality star said the era-defining series helped her to grow ‘a lot closer’ to her family when she looked back on its impact. 

The reunion host Andy Cohen wrapped up the end of the two-part special by encouraging the family members to reflect on what they had learned after more than a decade in the public eye.

‘This entire experience has brought me a lot closer to you guys and I appreciate you all so much more,’ Kylie said at the end of the episode which otherwise featured little of her.

‘And I feel like I did throw myself in my friends for so many years and didn’t realize I have the best friends here with me,’ she continued, as her sisters and mother burst into smiles.

‘We’ve been trying to tell you!’ Kim interjected playfully.

‘But it made me — every situation, and all the heartbreak and the trust issues, hav just brought me so much closer to you guys. And I appreciate you all on another level.

‘I love you!’ Kim jumped in before sharing how ‘blessed’ and ‘lucky’ the family was.

By bring up her ‘permanent friends,’ Kylie also appeared to turn the spotlight onto her less-than-permanent friends, including Jordyn. 

Just before Andy asked for their closing thoughts, he had asked Kylie’s older sister Khloé about her current feelings about the infidelity.

Although the Good American founder claimed that she had fully forgiven Jordyn for making out with Tristan, Kylie said she felt ‘personally’ hurt by the cheating scandal.

‘I don’t have any grudge again Jordyn,’ Khloé reiterated, adding that she would be a ‘prisoner’ herself if she didn’t give up the grudge. ‘I think people make mistakes,’ she said. ‘They live and they learn and I forgive both parties. How could I forgive Tristan and not Jordan?’

In response to another viewer question, Kylie confirmed that she had a chance to sit down with Jordyn about the cheating scandal. On their famous fallingout, she detailed: ‘When we were friends, we never thought that we wouldn’t be friends. It was kind of an overnight thing.’

‘She did something to my family — it felt like she did something, you know, to me.’

Khloé, who called Jordyn a liar prior to her sitdown on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk series, additionally claimed that she had not apologized in person to her, nor had she sent a promised letter explaining what happened that night. ‘I personally don’t talk to her,’ she said. ‘I think she is doing really well in her personal life.’

She added that she wouldn’t want Kylie to feel like she couldn’t restart her friendship with Jordyn.

‘My sisters matter way more to me than any grudge or issue I would have with another individual, and if I can allow Tristan back into my life then I need to allow the same forgiveness and acceptance of other people,’ she said. “If Kylie wants Jordan to be her friend then that’s up to Kylie.” 

Despite Khloé’s diplomatic statements about forgiveness, Kim Kardashian, 40, shared a more blunt assessment about why Jordyn was no longer part of their social circle, suggesting that there may have been pressures to ostracize Jordyn from elsewhere in the Kardashian–Jenner clan. 

‘I’m gonna keep it real,’ Kim interjected, cutting off Khloé. ‘Tristan has a baby with Khloé. So they — Tristan will always be in our lives, one way or another. If a girl was — if anyone else came into this situation, I wouldn’t choose to want to spend all my extra time.

‘Tristan’s family. We have to always keep it cool. There’s a baby involved,’ she continued. ‘So if there’s no babies involved and s*** goes down — sorry!’ 

Khloé seemed somewhat flustered as she tried to change the narrative and said she wouldn’t want Kylie to ever regret no longer being friends with Jordyn, though no one in the family seemed eager to reconnect.

The timing of the family’s defense of Tristan was ironic, as a source claimed to Page Six on Monday that Khloé and the athlete have again broken up.

Previously, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Tristan was seen disappearing into a bedroom with three women during a Bel Air birthday party on Friday night — and emerged ‘disheveled’ 30 minutes later.

The reunion episode was filmed months earlier in April, prior to the latest revelations.

Kylie also has her own family to focus on. She shares her three-year-old daughter Stormi Webster with the rapper Travis Scott, 29.

The former couple appeared to have reunited after they attended a benefit in New York City last week, where he declared his love for her onstage and called her ‘wifey.’
