Married At First Sight’s Mishel Karen, 50, is stood up THREE times by the same man – despite ‘speaking to him online for months’

Former Married At First Sight star Mishel Karen revealed on Wednesday she’d been stood up three times by the same man.
The mother of two, 50, explained she’d been speaking to the man for several months but he hadn’t shown up for any of their dates.

‘Yesterday got me feeling sad… I am this eternal romantic, hoping to find true love eventually but in saying that I don’t really date,’ she wrote on Instagram.
Mishel said the man had invited her for coffee after the pair had spoken online for months, and she agreed to meet with him.
‘Even though I know I have not been very lucky with dates in the past, seriously unlucky with dates! Anyway he stood me up on Saturday night,’ she added.

Mishel said she forgave him for standing her up the first time and gave him a second chance, only to be stood up again. A third planned date had the same result.
‘It wasn’t going to be a full dinner date or a weekend escape, it was a simple coffee or drinks, maybe a light meal, but it was too much for him to show up,’ she wrote.
‘I just don’t get it, why reach out to me, ask me out and then not make the effort to meet me? it is kind of cruel and it made me feel sad.’

‘I am putting my heart out there and it feels really vulnerable and squishy… times like this I think it is probably easier to never open my heart to romantic love,’ she wrote.
Mishel lost an impressive 20kg by following a strict diet and exercise regimen after appearing on season seven of MAFS.

She told Now to Love in December that she combines cycle classes and weight training in order to stay in shape.
The reality star went on to say she’s completely overhauled her diet, with the main rule being avoiding processed foods.
‘I’ve eliminated everything processed and refined and I just eat pure food. I only eat fruit, vegetables and meat – that’s it,’ she said.
Workout regimen: ‘I train with a PT twice a week, then I’ll do a cycle class once or twice a week and then I walk. I’ll go into the forest and walk and connect with nature,’ she said
‘I have my coffee in the morning. I don’t eat my first meal until 11am, but I might have a banana or berries before I have lunch.’
In June last year, Mishel told the Courier Mail her goal was to lose 13kg before her 50th birthday in December.
She blamed her weight gain on filming Married At First Sight, which she says disrupted her schedule due to the late nights of filming.
