Love Island winner Amber Gill reveals 2021 contestant Brad McClelland used to be involved with one of her friends before entering the villa

Amber Gill took to Twitter on Monday night to reveal to her followers that her friend and the show’s current contestant Brad McClelland have been involved.

The Love Island winner, 23, revealed in a since deleted tweet: ‘Brad was speaking to one of my friends at some point’ and joked, “but let’s keep that between me [and] you”.’

Amber seemingly regretted putting this information out there because the following tweet read ‘WAS a little while ago’ and then deleted the posts altogether.

She made clear that she wasn’t ‘ratting anyone out’ and it was just a, ‘fun fact’ for her fans.

A spokesperson for Love Island was contacted and declined to comment for MailOnline.

The social media influencer posted a flurry of tweets which followed Monday night’s episode.

One such tweet read, ‘Do you need me to translate for Brad???’ referring to his strong Geordie accent as she is also from Newcastle.

She then went on to admit that the labourer’s accent was ‘strong even for me.’

Hunk Brad, 26, caused a stir in the episode as he entered the villa and coupled up with lettings manager Faye Winter despite her pairing with Toby Aromolaran.

As the show progressed, the couple showed signs of awkwardness as they chatted around the fire pit.

However, they raised temperatures as they were the first to lock lips in a game of dares, and they had to share a kiss for 30 seconds.

McClelland admitted in the Beach Hut later on that ‘the kiss went on for too long’  and he seemed not too impressed with the experience.

Faye, from Devon, proved very popular with the boys in the episode, having been chosen by of them in the first coupling.

The new couple will soon be tested as Chloe Burrows is set to waltz into the villa on Tuesday’s show and tempt the boys away from the girls in a dramatic shake up.

Catch all the villa drama on Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV2.
