Abbie Quinnen and AJ Pritchard glam up for the afternoon as they mingle with royalty

They looked every inch the perfect couple as they mingled with royalty at the Well Child event at Kew Gardens on Wednesday.

Abbie Quinnen, 24, and AJ Pritchard, 26, glammed up for the afternoon to celebrate inspirational young people living with serious illnesses.

Professional dancer Abbie wore a gold mini-dress which was cinched in at the waist to accentuate her figure, sharing a picture of herself and her beau on Instagram as they stood near Prince Harry.

Abbie’s long slender legs were on show as she teetered on a pair of brilliant white heels.

The twinkle-toed star carried a small blue purse on a gold chain over her shoulder as she cosied-up to her beau AJ.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star AJ opted for a white polo shirt beneath a smart navy blue blazer.

He wore a neatly pressed pair of cream trousers which he teamed with a casual pair of trainers which looked as if they were fresh out of the box.

Sharing a picture of herself and AJ looking loved-up on her Instagram page, Abbie wrote: ‘Had the most amazing day at the @wellchild event! Absolutely loved meeting all of the incredibly inspiring children & their families!

‘They were so strong beyond belief & remained so so positive! It was such an honour to be apart of such a memorable day! 

‘Massive congratulations on your more than well deserved awards.’ 

Abbie posted a video from inside the event as including singer Anne-Marie performed on stage.

In another snap posted to social media, the pair could be seen standing in the background as Prince Harry happily chatted away.

The duke – who has been WellChild’s patron since 2007 – attended the socially-distanced garden party and afternoon tea where singer Ed Sheeran was overheard congratulating Prince Harry on the birth of his daughter Lilibet Diana earlier this month. 

The singer, whose wife Cherry Seaborn gave birth to their first child Lyra Antarctica last year, said: ‘Congratulations, a girl right? We just had a little girl ten months ago now. You’re still in the trenches now. How do you manage with two?’

The Duke of Sussex replied: ‘Two is definitely a juggle.’ 

Speaking to award winners later, Harry described Lilibet as ‘very chilled’, saying she ‘seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy’, Hello Magazine reports.

Today’s event was originally scheduled for September, but the organisers changed the date to allow the Duke of Sussex to attend while he’s in the UK. Harry flew to London from the US on Friday ahead of his awkward reunion with William at tomorrow’s unveiling of Diana’s statue at Kensington Palace.
