Gisele Bundchen, 40, compares herself to her children as she shares side-by-side throwback photos

Gisele Bundchen is feeling nostalgic.

On Thursday, the 40-year-old supermodel shared an adorable childhood snap of herself and compared it to pictures of her children Benjamin, 10, and daughter Vivian, 8.

The snap showed a young Gisele hugging a chicken, while the model managed to capture her children as they are now doing the exact same thing for the comparative Instagram post.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel shares her two children with her husband, professional football player Tom Brady, whom she married in 2009.

Bundchen also wrote a brief message to comment on the similarities between herself and her children in their early years.

The statement read: ‘I think we have something in common. Do you? (Me as a child and Vivi and Benny now.)’

The fashion industry powerhouse welcomed her first child not long after she tied the knot with her husband, whom she initially met on a blind date in 2006.

Prior to becoming romantically involved with the star athlete, she notably dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio for several years.

Following her split from the Django Unchained actor, Bundchen was briefly linked to professional surfer Kelly Slater and actor Josh Hartnett, although these connections proved to be short-lived.

Brady, 43, was previously involved with actress Bridget Moynahan from 2004 until they eventually split in 2006.

However, the actress confirmed that she was pregnant with the football star’s child in February of 2007, and she later gave birth to a son named Jack, currently aged 13.

The former couple has established a cordial relationship since their breakup, and the athlete’s now-wife serves as a stepmother to his eldest child.

Following two years of dating, Bundchen and Brady tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in 2009, and they later held a second wedding in Costa Rica that same year.

The pair went on to welcome their first child in their initial year of marriage and added their daughter to their family in 2012.

During an interview with People, the supermodel spoke about how her fans and followers may not have the most accurate of impressions regarding her motherhood, as she felt that it was often challenging and time-consuming.

‘Things can be looking perfect on the outside, but you have no idea what’s really going on…I think I am who I am because of those experiences,’ she expressed.

The fashion industry figure then revealed that, although she had desired motherhood prior to the birth of her son, she was not ready for the emotional changes that would come with raising a child.

‘When I became a mom, I kind of lost myself. It was like a part of me died…All I ever wanted was to be a mom, but when you’re actually experiencing that, it’s a shock,’ she noted.

Bundchen concluded by noting that her lifestyle completely changed and that the period of adjustment was particularly difficult, although she has since become used to her role as a mother.

‘I’d been this very independent person. It was all about me. But now I had this little being, and I suddenly felt l couldn’t do other things and that was very hard for me,’ she expressed.
