Love Island Australia star Tayla Damir has opened up about the stress of planning her wedding to Richmond player Nathan Broad.

The 24-year-old revealed on Thursday she’s ‘suffered from anxiety, nose bleeds, stress rashes and exhaustion’ while trying to choose a venue, stick to her budget and ‘please everyone’.

‘I have always prided myself on using my social media to break down stigmas surrounding mental health and being as open and honest as possible,’ she began a lengthy post on Instagram.

‘This time last week I was in a really dark place. I suffer from extreme anxiety so the thought of trying to plan a wedding, letting people down with their wants and expectations, picking a venue, pleasing everyone, pleasing myself whilst not knowing what I want and trying to budget became so overwhelming,’ she added.

‘At the time my anxiety made me feel so weak. I am completely fine now and we have locked in a venue and I’m finally having fun planning a wedding which I’m so excited about.’

Tayla went on to say she felt the most pressure from herself, and it ’caused great anxiety, nose bleeds, hot flushes, stress rashes, headaches and exhaustion’.

She dealt with the stress by ‘meditating, going for long walks and also focusing on what makes Nathan and I happy – no one else’.

Tayla continued: ‘I’ve set exact times to think about the wedding and don’t work on the wedding outside of these times. I’ve let go of the expectations, asked for help from professionals, and have stopped talking to everyone about it.’

‘I can’t wait to get married and I’m so glad the “I need to plan an entire wedding in one night” phase has p**sed off,’ she concluded.

‘This is just a reminder that although someone’s life can seem so fun and exciting on social media, that person can still be having bad days. Be kind.’

Tayla announced on Instagram last month that three-time AFL premiership player Nathan, 28, had proposed at their home in Melbourne.

She also posted a video of the moment her fiancé proposed on their front porch, which was recorded on their home CCTV system.
