He’s one of the country’s most famous sportsmen.

But if you blink, you may miss David Warner these days after the Australian cricketer changed up his look by growing a beard.

The 34-year-old cricketer showed off his new facial fair while heading out to play golf on Thursday.

Who’s that guy? He’s one of the country’s most famous sportsmen. But if you blink, you may miss David Warner after he changed up his look by growing out a beard amid a 14-day coronavirus lockdown

‘Thought I’d take a selfie #life #beard #staysafe #golf,’ he captioned his picture.

And it appears David’s wife Candice is a fan of her husband with a beard.

Commenting on his post, she wrote: ‘Looks good to me darling!’

Earlier this year, David debuted a different style of facial hair, opting to sport a furry moustache.

At the time, Candice admitted she loved his facial fuzz.

During an appearance on  The Morning Show, she admitted that she ‘liked it’, but noted one issue with it.

‘I actually like it, but it does need to be trimmed a little bit more often,’ she said diplomatically.

‘And the girls [their daughters] are always like, “Dad, shave it off, it’s itchy”.’

She added: ‘I don’t mind it, I actually find it quite attractive. I like it, he just started it because he likes it.’

However, later in the month of March, she seemed to change her opinion on the matter and even teased him on social media as she agreed with fans who said he should ‘shave it off.’

In March, he posted a photo of himself on Instagram with black a winter cap on and showing his slightly unkempt moustache

At the time, Candice couldn’t give her opinion on the hat because she couldn’t see past her hubby’s untrimmed and untidy facial hair.

‘This is NOT good!’ she exclaimed.

Meanwhile, a number of fans agreed with her, including one who said: ‘hat’s a keeper but the mo has to go… hair grows back, hats up there with the baggy green.’

A second follower suggested Candice shave off her husband’s facial hair, writing: ‘@candywarner1 you cut that moustache when he is sleeping, he is really looking awkward.’

Not happy: David asked his fans if he should keep the hat, however, Candice couldn't get past his facial hair
