‘There is no truth’ to the collaboration, a source told the website.

Not happening! Taylor Swift and Adele are not collaborating on a new song together, according to E!

The rumors all started after a fan alerted Twitter users to the song Broken Hearts on the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers, which had Adele Laurie Blue Adkins and Taylor Alison Swift cited as writers.

As on Sunday, the song no longer exists on the website.

The last time fans heard any new music from Adele was her 2015 critically-acclaimed album 25.

Swift, on the other hand, has consistently been releasing music throughout the pandemic, including the Grammy-award winning album Folklore.

More recently, she appears on two songs from Big Red Machine’s latest album How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last, including Renegade.

On Thursday, the duo, comprised of Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner, released the music video for Renegade, a colorful project featuring a number of shots of Swift and Dessner and hand-written lyrics.

The song is clearly about a relationship, with someone trying to get a ‘renegade’ to let their guard down.

The video, directed by Michael Brown, prominently features a number of shots of Swift along with a number of outdoor settings and shots of Dessner playing both guitar and piano.

Swift also had high praise for Dessner, who she co-wrote the song with, in an Instagram post which also showcased the video.

‘I can’t believe I get to work with Aaron Dessner. When Aaron came into my life, I was ushered into his world of free-flowing creativity where you don’t overthink, you just make music,’ Swift said.

‘His generosity of spirit and humility bleeds into every part of his life, and that’s why so many artists have jumped at the chance to be a part of his collaborative project, Big Red Machine,’ she added.

The Big Red Machine Instagram also showcased the video with a message from Dessner about the song, which came about when he was helping Swift make her two 2020 albums folklore and evermore.

‘While we were making folklore and evermore last year, @taylorswift and I sometimes talked about experimenting and writing songs together some day for @bigredmachinejv,’ Dessner began.

‘Making music with your friends just to make it — that’s how Big Red Machine started and has grown — and that’s how Renegade came about too,’ he added.

‘This song was something we wrote after we finished evermore and it dawned on us that this was a BRM song. Taylor’s words hit me so hard when I heard her first voice memo and still do, every time,’ he added.

Dessner continued that his collaborator Justin Vernon, ‘lifted the song further into the heavens,’ while praising his brother Bryce Dessner on guitar and Jason Treuting on drums.

‘The feeling and sound of this song feel very much at the heart of ‘How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last?’ I’m so grateful to Taylor for continuing to share her incredible talent with me and that we are still finding excuses to make music together,’ he concluded.
